MVS - drop him for another waiver wire add or hold?

Recommended Posts

I'm really not sure what to do with this guy anymore. I have a feeling he's going to fade into irrelevancy already and there are a few WRs available in my deep league (Coutee, Tre'Quan Smith) who might be a better option as I try to lock in my playoff spot this weekend. Thoughts?

I mean if you have guys like Smith and Coutee just sitting on your wire is be grabbing them. Id of been grabbing them last week.

I do think MVS has a few real nice games down thr stretch. He is their new guy for next year. Jimmy is hurt.

Funny enough I had Smith rostered but dropped him several weeks ago for Ross...I definitely see MVS as a value in 2019 but for this year I'm just not sure I can trust him week-to-week. I have a pretty strong team, I'm just trying to hone my depth players...I see Godwin as good depth and Ross as well (playing him in week 12 since Cooks is on bye)...

Well yeah next year but alos this year. Cobb is still banged up and sucks. Will be gone next year. MVS is basically their clear 2nd option in thr passing game right now.

But I would rather have Smith and Coutee.

Would take a chance on Smith. MVS may have 1 or 2 more good weeks. It was possible that Seattle being good against slot receivers discounted his production. Wish all slot receivers could play Tampa every week.

MVS vs. TSmith is a tossup

TS had a good game, then two not so good games then a good one. (Higher ceiling, lower floor)

MVS has been pretty consistent but no real eye popping week (lower ceiling, higher floor)

So ask yourself....are you okay with risk? If yes....go TS.

I'm holding onto MVS at this point. He's still the #2 WR in an Aaron Rodgers led offense and is playing a large amount of snaps still. I imagine that Jimmy Graham breaking his thumb is probably going to result in some more looks in his direction as well.

I was also playing with the idea of dropping him and picking up Tre'Quan, DJ Moore, or Courtland Sutton, but ultimately decided to hold him, especially after the Graham news.

This is a great question.

I think I would hold unto MSV.

Thanks.

Kumerow will be back from IR eventually. ESB could pop up as the go to as much as MSV. I do have MSV on my roster though because he does have the potential to bring in a ship if needed. I hope i won't need him with Woods, Hill and Golladay

He had many weeks of solid production in a row before his bad game. I think hes a steal if you can get him as a free agent.

Their best guy will be on adams this week, sneaky week to start Scantling. No one will want any part of him after a 0 point game. Ring a bell for anyone? Thats right, TreQuan Smith had 0 targets the game before he blew up this last week.

Correct, before last weeks dud weeks 5-10 he scored between 10-16 PPR. Serviceable WR3 numbas.

He reminds me of M Sanu.

I think he’s blessed to have Rogers as his Qb, but going forward he could be pushed for playing time.

Think Mvs fits better as 2 on outside and moving into slot. Allows speed to be a factor. When Cobb is out, he runs exclusively from slot on short crosses. Hes in for a big week and breaks 2 long TDs.
