Can anyone provide insight on Jarvis Landry?

Jarvis Landry is legit. Even in LSU, he was the better receiver between him and OBJ. His draft stock slipped, when he ran and competed in the combine with a strained hamstring. Smart route runner, better speed than given credit for, and unbelievable hands. I'm not 100% certain in re-draft leagues, but he holds definite value in keeper leagues.

    Josh Gordon Keeper Conundrum:

My league just drafted this year and we decided on having a two player keeper league. The usual keeper league rules will apply, where they can keep a player at the cost of where they were drafted the year before. The biggest issue right now, is on Josh Gordon. He was initially drafted in round 11 of our league before the ban had actually occurred. Once news broke that he was suspended for the year, he was dropped. A couple weeks later, a team picks him up as a FA. Long Story Short: That owner is arguing that he should get Gordon at the price of the last round draft pick, because he was dropped and on Waivers like everyone else for weeks and at the disposal of everyone else to pick up. Though some guys are saying he was drafted in the 11th round, and that's his price for next year's draft. What's the general rule of thumb in regards to players who are drafted, but are later dropped and/or pass through Waivers?
  3. QB- Tannehill (The first OC of the Chip Kelly coaching tree, O-line should be solid from a pass protection standpoint, tons of weapons, and actually in a system that will utilize his strengths... He'll be top 10 QB this year!) RB- Trent Richardson (Has to be BETTER than last year right? In a passing offense, where the boxes won't be stacked against him. Knows that playbook. Can catch a little bit out of the backfield? I'll be taking a flier on him every draft!) WR- Kendall Wright (Entering 3rd year. Caught 90 balls, with a low YPC. He's more than just a slot Amendola type player. He should catch between 80-100 balls and I'm betting his YPC go up a bit. If he finds the end zone even 5-6 times... He's a monster you can grab in the 8th round!) TE- Charles Clay (Had a breakout last year and his injury has made people forget about him this season. He's healthy and ready to go! That new scheme is designed to get the TE open a lot in Miami, and unlike Philly where Ertz and Celek both got targets, the rest of Miami's TE group are mostly in-line blockers. Clay should finish as a sure fire top 10 TE this year, with the possibility of breaking into the top 5. He's Tannehill's security blanket. And going in round 12-14??? I'll take him every day of the week!) Honorable Mentions: QB- Carson Palmer, Big Ben, and Andy Dalton RB- Doug Martin (as the bell-cow now... Should be drafted in the 2nd, but can be had in the 3rd in a lot of drafts), Devonta Freeman, Lamar Miller, and Shonn Greene WR- Terrance Williams, Kelvin Benjamin, Markus Wheaton, Justin Hunter, Golden Tate TE- Rudolph/Ertz (obviously), Jordan Reed being drafted as TE 9?, Heath Miller DEF- I like the Browns, Cardinals, and Bills to have solid defensive seasons and most can be had on the Waiver Wire

2 QB Draft Today (Expecting a HUGE run early)

My bad! It was a 12 team league. Got my leagues messed up! In any case, here's how the draft went: 1st round: Manning, Brees, Rodgers went top 3, and Brady in the 12 slot. 2nd round: Luck, Stafford, Ryan, Kaepernick, RGIII, and Romo. 3rd round: Foles, Wilson, Cutler, and Newton. (I debated taking Cutler with my pick, but somehow Giovanni Bernard was available). 4th round: Rivers and Roethlisberger My draft went very well. Was happy with how everything worked out for the most part. Matt Stafford got picked right before me in rd 2, and settled with Ryan. Passed on Cutler in rd.3 for Gio, but was able to nab Philip Rivers as well. Also ended up taking Tannehill and Geno Smith as insurance! My team: QB- Matt Ryan (2nd) QB- Philip Rivers (4th) RB- Adrian Peterson (1st) RB- Giovanni Bernard (3rd) WR- Keenan Allen (5th) WR- Michael Floyd (7th) WR- Kendall Wright (11th) TE- Kyle Rudolph (12th) FLEX- Toby Gerhart (6th) DEF- Tampa Bay (19th) K- Phil Dawson (20th) BENCH: QB- Ryan Tannehill (10th) QB- Geno Smith (16th) RB- Joique Bell (9th) RB- Lamar Miller (8th) WR- Justin Hunter (13th) WR- Brian Hartline (15th) WR- Kenny Britt (17th) WR- Andrew Hawkins (18th) TE- Zach Ertz (14th) Overall, I love how many value picks I got, but my WR's make me nervous in a 1pt PPR league. It was also very interesting to see how much the QB's dropped off after, everyone got their two starters. Can't believe I was able to steal Tannehill in rd 10 and Geno in rd 16. Should be able to improve my WR corps a ton once injuries start to happen!

2 QB Draft Today (Expecting a HUGE run early)

If there is a run of say, 20 QBs taken in the first 2/3 rounds, is this a scenario of actually going QB/QB in the first two rounds? Always thought going QB/QB is the kiss of death, but then again, how great will Forte be on a team with Kaepernick and Teddy Bridgewater/EJ Manuel?
  6. Being a huge Dolphins fan and someone who has been very high on Lamar Miller his first two years in the League... The Dolphins run protection is still VERY bad this year, and Lamar Miller has shown nothing but indecisiveness and a lack of breaking tackles as a RB. I'm not touching him at his current ADP.

    Jarred cook anyone?

No thank you, on Cook. I've gotten burned with him twice so far in his career!
  8. Alright. So I'm in a 14 team, 1 PPR, 2QB league draft coming up today. I've heard whispers of essentially every owner picking QB's left and right for the first few rounds. I pick in the 8th spot, and I've heard 5-6 QBs will be taken before me. I'm a wait on QB guy myself, but obviously in this format, I have to pluck a solid QB in the 1st round right? Here are my three options 1. Draft a guy like Stafford or Luck with the 8th pick, then maybe hope for a top WR/RB in the early portion of the 2nd. Then pray a serviceable #2QB is available in rd. 3 2. Take Megatron at 8, then grab a guy like Kaepernick/RGIII with my pick in the 2nd. Then pray a serviceable #2QB is available in rd. 3 3. Take the value that falls to me in first two rounds (Megatron/Forte/Lacy in rd 1, and Dez/Demarco/Graham rd 2) and hope two serviceable starters are available in rds 3 and 4. Bottom line... I hate 2 QB leagues! haha! Any help would be appreciated.

Predict next week's hot pick up

Gonna go with T.Y. Hilton on this one. Jets secondary is banged up and looking horrid. Cromartie on Waye, means Hilton should get targets. Has seen his fair share of them these last few weeks.

i need a good spot start at WR

Armon Binns. He's better than Hawkins. Could be this year's Antonio Brown.
  11. Ray Lucas

    Russell Wilson.....

Year 1: Luck, RGIII, Tannehill, Weeden, Wilson Year 2: Newton, Dalton, Ponder, Locker, Gabbert Wow.

    AP and Charles

Big money draft and I took Charles at 2.04 followed by AP at 3.08 Here goes nothing...

    Ridley vs Vereen

Last year's totals: Green-Ellis: 826 total yards, 11TD (with a <4.0 ypc) Feel like Ridley or Vereen will at least best that. Belichick doesn't exactly do a RBBC. Last time the Patriots didn't have a featured back, was in 2008 when they split carries between Kevin Faulk and Sammy Morris. They also had a feature back in 2006 between Corey Dillon and Laurence Maroney. Dillon had 13 TDs similar to the Law-Firm the past few years. Feel like the worst case scenario is both guys average 800ish yards on similar carries, and one becomes the goal-line back destined for 10+TDs. My guess, one breaks free and becomes the lead back getting 65-70% of the carries and scores and gets a decent amount of red zone targets.

    Ridley vs Vereen

Who wins the RB battle in New England? I picked Ridley in round 8, then followed up with Vereen in round 13. Do you project whoever the starter is to put up Green-Ellis type numbers? In my opinion, both backs have more talent. Surely, I can't be the only fantasy owner with big fantasy implications resting on the backfield in New England?

    Rate My Team Please WHIR

But at that point, every RB has injury concerns. DeMarco Murray, Darren McFadden, and Ryan Mathews are all injury prone backs. So is it more likely for them to finish the entire season healthy than Charles and AP who have historically been durable and have healed quickly? I feel like having either Ridley or Vereen will help too. Since who ever starts for them, should put up Green-Ellis type numbers. Brown has been consistently great since he's started. He gets more targets than Wallace (and my opinion, is the safer option). While Colston has been consistent his whole career. I understand about the RB issue, but I feel like Charles has looked great this preseason and grabbing Peterson in the late 3rd round is a steal.
