#6345419 How many points do you need tonight?

Posted by Bills04 on 29 October 2018 - 08:50 AM

I need Brady and Gronk to NOT outscore Edelman by 27 (or more).  I'm up 26 and have Edelman "alive."  Opponent has Brady and Gronk.  Gronk's LOW vs. BUF is 16..

Otherwise:  Eff me..  I played CLE TE and CHI TE (as my FLEX), and left Fitz, P. Barber and A. Collis all on my bench - EACH scored a TD..

#6296430 My 1st round Pick August 30th Draft

Posted by Bills04 on 30 August 2018 - 02:59 PM

Hmmmm - have you been following the Shady GF assault case / "do you feel lucky?"  Shady has never had < 1,100 yards in a season.  #1.

I also like Freeman; DEN knows full well what Booker offers..  #2

Next, I'd go with Tyreek Hill.  *If* you can live the non-"boom" weeks.  S. Watkins offers a lot more than Albert Wilson..

#6153812 Josh pulls a Belichick...Not going to the colts

Posted by Bills04 on 07 February 2018 - 04:28 PM

Update:  McDaniels' Agent severed ties with him.  The Agent also represents Indy's GM, and multiple other coaches around the league.  He couldn't afford to be associated with such a POS as McDaniels, professionally.

#5893336 Ted Ginn Signs with New Orleans

Posted by Bills04 on 09 March 2017 - 02:11 PM

Gangstas:  I agree.  NE played NO in the preseason - I think early in 2016.  Cooks torched them for TWO long TD catches.

After the game, Belichick was quoted as saying how glad he was it was just a preseason game, and he didn't have to play against Cook for real.  Cook obviously made an impression on him.  As did Welker, when he was with MIA.  And, Belichick then traded for Welker in the offseason!

#5872244 Matt Ryan awarded League's MVP

Posted by Bills04 on 05 February 2017 - 10:23 AM

I'm glad for him.  ATL had the most difficult Strength of Schedule, going into the year.  He's a "professional," and goes about his business "the right way."

Congrats, "Matty Ice."

#5856052 Wildcard Weekend - Giants at Packers: In-Game Discussion

Posted by Bills04 on 11 January 2017 - 01:59 PM

As Gisele said after the 2011 (?) Super Bowl, "Eli can only THROW the ball!!!  He CAN'T catch it, too!!!"

Erik Flower is NOT the answer, at Left Tackle...  And, bottom-3 running game AGAIN.

e.g., Eli is not the problem.

#5676471 Who is the bigger bust than Johnny Football Manzel?

Posted by Bills04 on 08 May 2016 - 06:01 AM

I'd go with JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf over Johnny football.  They were take overall #1 and #2.

#5651298 Ravens CB Tray Walker dead

posty - couldn't have said it better myself.  I feel sorry for Walker's family - but this was Darwinism in action.

#5607721 Advice appreciated: Ethics question

Posted by Bills04 on 26 December 2015 - 07:03 PM

Agree with a couple of other posters.  Sure - drop some dead weight / non-starters, and grab the best WRs available.

But - do NOT "churn."  That is obnoxious.

Squintz82 - thanks for the link.

Interesting, that the MA Governor and D.A. are on different sides of the coin, on the topic.

#5427391 UPDATE: Andre Johnson on his way out of Houston - Agrees with Colts

Posted by Bills04 on 03 March 2015 - 06:14 PM

No one will *trade* for him, at his age and salary.  So, he'll be released.  Then, AJ can go to whoever he wants.  His stats are border-line HOF-worthy. Which is why *I* think he'll go to play for a contender, to round out his resume and get a ring.

#5414388 Rex Ryan already ruining the Bills

Posted by Bills04 on 07 February 2015 - 11:14 AM

The Buffalo News reports free agent G Richie Incognito will sign with the Buffalo Bills.

ESPN reported Incognito would have a physical with the Bills on Saturday, but Tim Graham reports the physical is just a formality. Incognito had several workouts with guard-needy teams last season, but ended up sitting out all of 2014. He was suspended the second half of 2013 for his role in the Dolphins' Bullygate scandal. With Erik Pears an unrestricted free agent, Incognito has a decent shot to start in Buffalo.  :shocking:

Great...  First the new owner hires the most hot-headed head coach there is.  Now, he stand by while Rex hires a bully who was so bad, he got suspended for half a season, and then cut.

(I won't even comment on the new Offensive Coordinator.)

Looks like I will not be following the Bills for the foreseeable future...  :bandana:

#5412191 Pete Carroll arrogance in one paragraph

Posted by Bills04 on 02 February 2015 - 03:23 PM

Per NFL.com: "Carroll, with one remaining timeout, did the math and erred on the side of ensuring a maximum amount of chances to get the ball across the goal line, while limiting the chances that the Pats would have enough time to counter. Carroll saw a front stacked against a power run and a matchup he felt he could exploit with a short route against a rookie corner who had zero career interceptions. And he didn't want to run, get stopped short, burn his final timeout and be boxed into calling a pass on third down. You could run on 2nd down, call timeout, have to throw on third and score, or incompletion and have to choose (run or pass) on the final down."

SO WHAT if he had run Lynch, gotten stopped and had to use the final time-out? You are within the 5-yard line, and would have still had two downs to play. You're obviously in four-down territory, needing a touchdown to win. The strength of Seattle's team is the run. I don't think Seattle had called a designed run for Wilson all game. Go for a fake power rush to the strong-side, and have him hold the ball and do a weak-side rollout.

This game is just like the NFC Championship game.  The team that lost, lost due to BAD COACHING.

#5377616 Official "my season is OVER" F. U. thread

Posted by Bills04 on 02 December 2014 - 05:41 PM

Ugh.  Went 4-8 this year.  Should / could have been 7-5, if I started the right players...  Week 4 I left Asiata on my bench, and he went off for 3 TDs;  I lost by four points.  :wall:  Week 5 I ran out of patience with E. Lacy, who went off for 2 TDs and 132 yards.  He alone outscored my other three RBs (Gore, Bradshaw and Asiata)...  I lost by 8 points.   Week 11 I was worried about a pathetic Cincy offense on the road vs. New Orleans, so I sat J. Hill.  He goes off for 165 yards...  I lose by two points.

So, anyway, where were we?  Oh, yeah - the SEASON LONG F. U. thread!!!  F. U. to:

Toby Gerhart:  I took you as my RB3.  ALL the preseason hype was how he was a "lock," because he'd have 20 - 25 touches a game with NO competition.  Uh, when you average 2.8 yards a carry (through week 13), your offensive coordinator WILL give someone else a shot (Shoelace, anyone???).

Pierre Garcon:  You LEAD THE LEAGUE in targets in 2013, with 182.  Yeah, there is a new Head Coach, but he had his QB throw it to AJ Green 178 times in 2013!  Through week 13, you're 39th in targets...

Marques Colston:  You had a great last 8 games to close out 2013, and it was said that you were dealing with an injury the first two months of last season.  So, sure - jump on that train.  Huh - what happened?  Through week 13, you are FOURTH on your team for targets...  You just got passed by Kenny Stills!

Riley Cooper:  You put up 8 touchdowns last year, when Maclin went down.  This year, D-Jax left, so you should put up comparable numbers, right?  We're 3/4 of the way through the season.  And, to date, you've put up ONE touchdown...

Kenbrell Thompkins:  You now play for the Oakland Raiders.  Enough said.

Jordan Cameron:  Fourth year player.  Free Agent after this year.  No Josh Gordeon stealing looks.  But you just could N-O-T stay on the field...

Cincinnati Defense:  What the hell happened???  Isn't your Head Couch supposed to come from the defensive side of the ball?  Using FF Today's stat page, you are ranked 31st in fantasy points scored - only better than the absolutely dreadful Oakland Raiders.

So, yeah - see the above draft picks for how I obtained that AWESOME 4-8 record...

I think next year, I'll do the daily / week-to-week Draft Kings or whatever, in lieu of a pay league.

#5327222 Here we go: Who are YOU sitting E. Lacy for? :-(

Posted by Bills04 on 01 October 2014 - 09:41 AM

I know E. Lacy had a hellish start of the season schedule.  But, I drafted him for weeks 14 thru 16, and *thought* he'd score enough in the regular FF season to get me into the playoffs.  Well, he cost me a win in my money league this week...

I played him (11.9 points), vs. Gore (23.4 points) and Asiata (28 points!!!).  :wall:

Really???  48 rushing yards on 17 carries, versus a run defense that was over 20 yards worse than ANY OTHER TEAM in 2013?!?

So:  until you "show me somethin'" (in the famous words of Eddie George), I'm showing you my bench.  Instead, I'm rolling with M. Asiata in my $ league (and F. Gore and A. Bradshaw at my FLEX), and A. Ellington (and M. Asiata; FLEXing E. Sanders).  :bench:
