Whats Buffalo doing with Fred Jackson?

If it was my team, I'd keep all three this year to make sure Spiller can make it through a full season, and then let F-Jax walk next year.
  2. Williams looked good last night...against the second team defense. I assume he gets some carries with the first team here at some point in the preseason. I bet he's available on waivers in half the leagues.
  3. The Steelers signed DHB for pennies. Wheaton has been injury prone, and Bryant may not be ready, so they had to have someone on the roster. My guess is he doesn't make the roster.

Who will flat out not produce?

Bell's not gonna rack up enough TDs to warrant getting picked real high. Blount's gonna vulture the 1-2 yard plunges at the goal line, and when it's 2nd or 3rd and long at the goal line, they're runni8ng plays for Archer. I took Bell in one draft, but it was in the second after guys like Ball and Murray were gone.

    First round strategy

I went so late in the first round of my draftd, that I was better off taking Graham in one, and D. Thomas in the other two, and targeting a RB in the early second. It's silly to reach for Gio, Bell, or Morris just to have a RB with the first pick. Yeah, I end up with huge questions with my #2 and 3 RB since I was picking at the end of the third, but if I took two backs, my receivers would've been weak. Doesn't matter which position gets you the points, as long as you're getting points. Rolling the dice with a later round pick like S-Jax, T-Rich, or Jennings is no different than taking someone like Fitz as your #1 receiver, because the guys like Jordy, Cobb, and Brown are always gone before you get to the end of the 3rd.

The funny ways people react when the season starts

My problem is the opposite. I tend to be too loyal for too long, because I couldn't have been wrong in the first place, right? I do remember going gaga over Eddie Royal when he was a rookie and at one point cutting TO because he had a bunch of bad games strung together. Of course, Royal flamed out and TO finished the season in typical TO fashion.

Who do you prefer as your TE?

I think this year Thomas will have a huge year. Decker's gone, Sanders isn't that good, Latimer's a rookie, and Welker's got concussion problems. He's gonna put up better numbers than last year. Gronk's a mystery. No way to tell how the long layoff affected him. I have to see him in games before I can guess. The injuries he had may take him back a step, and they may not. Anybody who says they know for sure one way or the other is full of crap.
  8. If Wilson, Foles, and Newton are top 10 this year (I don't), and we assume Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, who are the other 4? Cutler? Romo? Kaepernik? RG3? Ryan? Brady? Mathews? Luck? It'll be a different list depending on whether you're getting 4 or 6 per TD pass. Who do you guys think is on the outside looking in?

    Rookies and sophomores

No way to know enough about the rookies yet to know if any of them are worth anything, so it's all gotta be sophs. I've got the same list as FBN, only I have Bell and Patterson at the top, but that's debatable.

    Drafters Beware!

Uh, he was still in football? Is that kinda like Tim Tebow is still in football?

    Lynch's holdout is over

Whoever said he just wanted to skip a few practices, good call.

I took Jennings as my RB3 in my second money league, but I'm nervous about it. I don't know about situation-wise. Andre Williams looks like a young Larry Johnson to me. The only question is his hands. But I can see him stealing carries on running downs and short yardage/goal line. I can't handcuff him, so if Williams catches Coughlin's eye, I'm screwed. Plus, Jennings has the history of injury. I still wouldn't take him as a #2.

    Draft position

I'd go 5th. You get one of the big 5 backs, any of which could finish with the highest fantasy total of the RB/WR's, and you get the earliest pick in the second round of the people who got one of the big backs. Hopefully someone like Dez or J. Jones is still there for ya, and then you're still in good position in the 3rd for someone like Ellington or Mathews.

Glimmer of Hope for Josh Gordon?

The decision got pushed to next week. Emperor Goodell is in Canton Friday, so I'll have to hold him on my roster a little longer. Would've been nice to find out tomorrow. I think Goodell should be more considerate to the fantasy fans, right?

Uh oh, team's saying his career is in jeopardy. Doesn't sound good. Too bad. I hate to see it happen to a young guy like this. But he better quit, or he's gonna end up a veg.
