Cook Update?

Recommended Posts

Cook said he won’t come back until he is at 100% so I guess he isn’t there yet.

Yea heard this before until he plays in a real game and scores a couple of times I take this news with a grain of salt.

Had a full practice last week. The benefit this time is it's a road game. If he travels that shouid mean he's good to go.

Good grief....hard to trust, esp after L. Murray's performance last week.

His career is over? :dunno:

Cook left the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Cook put in a full session Wednesday, putting himself in line for just his second appearance since Week 2. His early departure Thursday is somewhat worrisome, but the reason won't be confirmed until the Vikings release their injury report and/or coach Mike Zimmer holds a media session.

First paragraph is the report, second is cbs fantasy spin. Could be nothing, but with this guy might not be good news.

Lol good question ! At least I think he is.

I was (am) banking on it....drafted him in 3 leagues.

Yeah I drafted him in one league. I do think its a good idea for him to keep missing games now IF he becomes 100% and can be a rb1/rb2 the rest of the way. BIG IF !

Good luck !

Totally agree. We've waited this long....let's get him to 100% for the stretch run.

Hes been ruled out now. Never seen a guy get hurt, then healthy enough to play a whole half, suffer no setbacks, then miss multiple more games in a row.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play until after their week 10 bye week

As an owner, I am hoping.

Gotta salvage something. In one league, my first 2 picks were Fournette and Cook.

ADP, Breida, and Lindsay keeping me afloat.

It must be frustrating to keep,up with both Cook and Fournette’s health each week. It would drive me crazy. I would NEVER draft either player next year....never.

Sure, If the price is low enough what first or second round pick wouldn't you Buy?

Owner is stingy. Thought of offering Lat Murray & Kearse. I know it isn't much but Murray is guaranteed starter for a week and who knows when Cook returns this fantasy season.

I own Cooks in a dynasty league. Today I got offered Ridley for him. Have this nightmarish vision of Cooks coming back in Week 11 and wrecking rest of the way, though.

I asked the price for Cook, he responded with Kupp. Wth...

Yeah, Owners generally don't want to part with their top draft pick even when circumstances dictate it would be in their interest to do so.

It’s situational. If I wasn’t already winning without Cook I would deal him. But if you’re a team that already looks playoff bound, Cook could be a monster at end of season when it counts the most.

Sure, but I was commenting more on the buy low aspect. A cook owner is unlikely to sell him low because he drafted him in the second round, even though his value is nowhere near that. In the example that was offered above the Cook owner wanted Cooper Kupp for him, which is not a buy low.

That's a pretty steep price for a guy who is out hurt and ranked 61st at his position (PPR). I'm shying away from Cook in general. The Vikings handling of his injury is pretty haphazard. How good would he be if they just let him sit the first 4 weeks of the season and rehab vs this part-time/pitch-count crap they've done? Let him focus on getting strong instead of full practice participant...uh oh...out on game day. It's a sh!tshow as far as injury handling goes.

I just got offered J. White for Cook. Seriously considering it..

I would pull that trigger in a heartbeat

With a growing expectation, per multiple league sources, that Dalvin Cook (hamstring) will remain sidelined through the bye week, the Vikings offseason decision to keep Latavius Murray is paying off in a big way.

redraft, keeper, dynasty? ppr? are you in a position to make playoffs?

if in the hunt for playoffs, i'd do the trade regardless of format.

if you are in a keeper/dynasty and not in the hunt. i would hold cook.

in ppr white has a decent amount of value. No less than 40 rec since 2014 and a safety valve for brady.... with even more utilization with michel healing.
