    Kareem Hunt - Not Good

After seeing the way he sheds blockers maybe he should be sentenced to 6 games on the Defensive line.

    Peyton Hillis...

I guess averaging almost 5 ypc in the NFL sucks especially on a completely average team. I would hardly qualify that as a 'bum'. I'm not a fan of him or Cle but he had some good games in Denver in 08' (100+ yd games) and last year he was the offense in Cle. Look at that offense this year without him (or limited him)? They went from just over 100 yds rushing last year to 87 this year. Of course that is a little bit skewed since there are other factors, but a 13% drop is pretty bad and they were averaging 14% more points last year (even though they still sucked last year). Again saying he is a bum is a little harsh and much different than deciding to drop him from a roster due to injury or schedule.

Mike Tomlin and his coaching staff

Also the fact that Pitts threw more to H. Miller in the first half than the first 7 games (so it seemed) and he was wide open so the Steelers must have seen something.

    Carson Palmer to Raiders

PAV, you completely missed the point of my post. A previous poster said that the Pats do a good job drafting QBs and really I wouldn't say they have my post has nothing to do with the weakness or strength of the Pats QB position. To LMN, you are correct and I edited my post. In 2009 they drafted Edelman in the 7th but I don't think they ever intended him to compete at QB.

    Carson Palmer to Raiders

" But where did they get those good QBs? THE DRAFT. " Pats drafted Ryan Mallett in the 3rd in 2011, some guy in the 7th round in 2010, Kevin O'Connell in the 3rd in 2008 and other than Mallett there are no QBs on their depth chart. So if you are trying to say the Pats throw a bunch of ###### against the wall and see what sticks (Brady in the 6th) oh yes you are correct, but really, the Pats have used a 7th, and 2 3rds in the last 4 years and have a 3rd string QB to show for it. The Packers drafted Brohm in the 2nd in 2008 and then drafted another QB in the 7th who is actually their currnt back up! and they also drafted a QB in the middle rounds in 2006 all after drafting A. Rodgers in 2005 and already having the mighty B. Favre (who they didn't draft?!?) until 2008. The Steelers do have a pretty good track record with QB picks and don't seem to draft too many QBs but they seem to use proven vets as back ups (Batch/Leftwich). I guess my point is that you seem to forget or neglect all the 'wasted' picks an only focus on a select few. Is a 7th, 2 3rd round pics equal to a first? maybe for someone so instead of drafting those 3 players (and holding roster spots) a proven commodity is worth it. Getting an NFL quarterback is not always easy and in Palmer's case he has proven in the past he can be an effective NFL QB so someone 'overpaying' for him and not having to waste some draft picks could be worth it especially when a playoff spot is on the line.

    Antonio Brown

Welker does return punts and Ridley returns kick offs.
  7. To those that say he would be a great WR have no idea what you are talking about. As H. Ward says, running routs is all in the hips (and reading coverage as a previous poster said). In HS yes he would run by and over people, but other than a goal line jump ball I don't see how he could contribute as a WR. Seriously trying to use his high school stats to judge NFL ability is just stupid. Also in the finals he didn't want to post up Kidd how in the hell is he going to play is a more physical league! Could he have made it in the NFL, sure he has the size and skills, but at this point he has focused those skills on a different sport so I'm not sure he could be an NFL player in the near term if he wanted to switch today.

which pro team has the "worst" fans?

Have to jump in here. I am a Steelers fan and most of the fans I've met are pretty serious fans. I have family from that area and everyone in the city loves that team. During the 70s when the city was going down hill the team was doing well and was the only thing the population had to cling to (baseball and hockey never stuck). The issue is that many people left Steeltown due to the economy but stayed Steeler fans. I really don't know too many of the Steeler fans you guys talk about but there is a good core group out there. As for Boston fans, ya they are annoying, they think the NFL began in 2001 (yes I realize they went to a SB before then, but I think they want to erase that from their memory). Chicks love their pink jerseys and Tom Brady and that is who you mostly see. There is NO discussion of past Pats greats hell most fans can't name more than 1 coach for the Pats. Just my thoughts.

What happened to Fred Jackson 39 yd td?

his knee was clearly down before crossing the goal so it was put on the 1~2 yd line, Buf trying to run out the clock and kick a FG.

    Suicide Pool picks

Since Cle is in the same division with Cin at least one more time (week 12) and they also plays Sea at home, jack and SF. Depending on how teams look this year at least 2~3 more chances.

Non playoff teams putting in waiver claims

Me and two others are fighting to stay out of last place. I think all of us put in wavier request last week (non-keeper. We all have our own reason to keep fighting and it happens in real football.

    Tom Brady=Troy Aikman

Why don't you look at the number of Pro Bowl players on the Pats when they won their championships and compare those to other recent winners? That would be a good indication of "supporting cast'. At least in 2001 the Pats had 2 or 3; compared to I believe 7 was the average up until a couple of years ago. Seriously in 2001 the pats had a wrestler on their o-line. Also at Michigan he was 20 - 5 as a starter and he won two bowls. Calling Tom Brady a 'game manager' is ludicrous, I'm not a Pats fan, don't own anything with the Pats or Brady on it, but he does have talent and has played a high level of football for quite a few years. Since 2002 he has thrown for over 3.500 yards with a completion % of over 60%, game managers don't average over 200 yds and 2 TDs a game. Give the guy some credit.
  13. Trent Edwards against NO, he might be a pretty good play this week. Buf should have the ball alot and be behind by 2 scores.

The Steelers "dumb" down football games....BORING

Your comment is just stupid for so many reasons. There are more ways to play football than running a spread/no-huddle offense or West Coast O. You probably made this incrediable observation because there were few FF points scored. News Flash! FF is not real football, the goal is to out score your opponinent not score more FF points. Also did we watch the same game? Holmes 50 yrd on 3rd and short? Dallas making a great goal line stand? Romo scrambling and finding TO in the back of the end zone. HUGE hits on D (esp one on H. Miller). Steelers needing a big play and Holmes getting a 35 yrd return to set up the tie and of course a pick 6?!? 10-3 against the toughest schedule in NFL history (based on prior year record) and they have not played a quality team? The Colts? again did you watch the game? Your "Professional football team" didn't lead until the last 3 minutes of the game. The Steelers miss an INT that gets tipped to Wayne and he scores, that right there was the play of the game. Oh and the 'boring' team gained more yards than Indy in that game. Ya Indy really spanked them, again watch the games moron. Please start watching hockey and complain that there are not enough fights or something.
