Austin Ekeler vs. Chris Thompson ROS

Need to add a RB from a rather uninspiring group of available backs. These two, are what I feel, the top two available. Others include Richard, Martin, I. Smith, Duke, Hines, Buck, Gore, Blount, Henry, J. Williams, Montgomery and Booker. Standard non-PPR scoring.

 

Of the two, I think Thompson has more ROS potential as I feel he has more opportunities than Ekeler does. Gordon dominates for LAC leaving just 6-8 touches per game for Ekeler. Thompson sees a lot more and Alex Smith loves to check down. LAC has a lot more weapons than the Redskins as well.

 

Thoughts on who of the two I should grab, or make a case for another of the backs listed. Thanks!

Thompson is always hurt and is dealing with a nagging injury now.

He was very limited this past week and missed the two before that.

 

I would take Ekeler on reliability alone

Thompson has yet to click with Smith for some unknown reason. Plus he is dinged again.

Ekeler seems like a no brainer.

I have Thompson in one of my $ leagues, and if the Ekeler owner sent me an offer, I wouldn't be able to hit "Accept" fast enough.

I can't trade Ekeler to the Gordon owner in my league for much of anything. I've tried.
