Drizzay 645 Posted February 1, 2015 http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12257443/pro-football-hall-fame-elects-class-2015 Jr Seau Jerome Bettis Will Shields Tim Brown Charles Haley Mick Tingelhoff Bill Polian Ron Wolf I am not going to b!tch about The Bus making it. I am fine with the decision I am just happy Tingelhoff made it. LONG overdue. Some say he was better than Webster, but didn't get the accolades because the Vikings never won the big game. Anyways, congrats!

TheUsualSuspect 207 Posted February 1, 2015 Yeah, I'm pretty sure none of those guys read these threads. This year's class is pretty weak. BTW, agree about Pace. He needs to be in. As does Warner. And although not nominated this year, Eddie D's snub every year is unfortunate.

mgs316 14 Posted February 1, 2015 Brown, no, Bettis, no. They were never the best of their generation, or even a season, just very good players who had a solid, long career. Neither led the league in anything for one season. I'm pretty sick of good players getting the HoF nod by announcers already. "Future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald/Andre Johnson...", come on, I like the guys but when you think of this generation's best WR's, my mind doesn't go straight to them. I agree about Bettis, but Brown's HOF worthy, IMHO. He was never the best at his position because his career overlapped the career of the best WR ever. Fitz was on the track for the HOF, but he's really slowed down the past few years. AJ's probably going to end his career 2nd in receiving yardage, and maybe receptions, but I question his HOF chances due to (1) his lack of TDs (currently tied for 58th all time, 1 TD behind Brandon Marshall, 1 TD ahead of Greg Jennings, both of whom are younger than Johnson), and (2) his complete inconsistency game to game. Fun fact I just looked up, Johnson's scored in 9 of his last 52 games.
Marshall 98 Posted February 1, 2015 And although not nominated this year, Eddie D's snub every year is unfortunate. Not only unfortunate, but apparently doggedly deliberate.
Cruzer 1,992 Posted February 2, 2015 I have no idea how you put Bettis in ahead of O. Pace - makes no sense at all..... I also don't understand how D. Coryell is kept out... His fingerprint is all over the league even to this day - he single handedly changed football in ways none of these guys did.
posty 2,296 Posted February 2, 2015 Bettis getting in is a joke...
mgs316 14 Posted February 2, 2015 I'd take Edgerrin James over Bettis any day of the week. Comparable stats, any chance Edge gets in? I doubt it. This was a popularity vote.
Gepetto 985 Posted February 2, 2015 Bettis deserves it. Some of you need to learn more about NFL history and Bettis' career.
