Keep drinkin' the Kool-Aid comrade.

So you will only vote for someone the media chooses to cover. That seems pretty shallow to me. Open your eyes, there are other choices, if you don't vote your beliefs you are cheating yourself.

You can 'have a voice' and vote for some unknown that will get .5% of the vote or you can vote for one of the two guys that has a chance to be our President and not waste your vote. Your choice

So far that has been my experience but I have the peace of mind to know that I voted for my beliefs. My point is if all of us voted our beliefs the Rs and the Ds would have to answer to the people because now there are other canidates who will.

I don't think nikki should commit bored suicide over it. But seriously, comparing Obummer to freaking Hitler because you're upset about healthcare reform and some modest hikes in tax rates? Really? Not all opinions are worthy of discussion. Some opinions are just dumb and wrong, and worthy of nothing but laughter and scorn. You seem like a bright guy and you should know the difference.

That was Little Rusty, not BudBro. BudBro pasted a link from the Washington Times, which had several references to socialists/communists but nothing I saw to Hitler (at least in what he pasted). :dunno:

Besides, a Hitler comparison is just hyperbole like... lots of political comments. Any attempts to control automatic weapons means an imminent government takeover. Opposition to free birth control means you hate all women. There is a slippery slope argument to many issues that is sometimes interesting to explore to extremes.

Y'all need to lighten up; it is a low-rent fantasy chat bored.

I thought it was focking ridiculous to compare Bush to Hitler. As much as I think Bush was a terrible president (easily the worst in modern times, IMO), he definitely did not kill six million people in a quest to "purify" the Aryan race. So yeah, the comparison is beyond absurd whether we are talking about Obama or Bush.

Yea. I think I'm pretty much done here.

it was the word swastika, wasn't it? nobody is supposed to equate the national socialist movement with the swastika anymore. that crosses the line because an entire generation that was taught public school history might be exposed to the truth. so, now the obama pepsi logo is associated with the nazi swastika.

don't fret. you can justify your support for the swastika by knowing that all republicans hate our wives and think women should be subservient, and minorities and gay people are all horrible because we don't know even one in our spheres of friends, and we want irresponsible manufacturing processes in order to pollute the air and water our children breathe and drink, and we want only rich versus poor so nobody in the middle ever moves up because obviously all republican voters are rich, and we want to make sure only rich people have access to healthcare, and we don't like any other types of energy but oil and coal, and what else...oh yeah, we want really huge and long wars that endanger our soldiers so we can build a military complex, and we love the nation building that follows it, and...and yes, we want govt to make all your moral decisions for you because those laws won't affect us in any way because the church picked our side, and ...

i can't think of anymore right now, but hoyt will surely have more to add. you should stay around though.

Jesus seemed much more interested in the plight of the poor than he was with the unjust taxation of the rich. I seem to remeber some things like "Do unot others as you would have them do unto you" and "That which you do to the least of my chidren you to unto me" and "it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to pass into heaven."

Might wanna re-read that book, or it might be Lake of Fire for you.

Please don't even think about getting into a Bible debate with me my friend. You can't even spell the word, let alone debate a Bible scholar such as myself. Have you ever even read the Bible? Much less in the Greek(Septuagint)? I highly doubt you have. I have, and i study the bible in both the Koine Greek and Hebrew.

Let me school you on what the Bible says about those men who are lazy, refuse to work, and will not support their own family. These dead beat dads have ruined our society, have made the mothers of their children out to be like widows, and their children to be like orphans, even though these men are alive and well, but are lazy @ss deadbeats, who make the rest of society support their women and children for them through our trillions of tax dollars going to the USA's welfare "PANDEMIC". The Bible is not kind to lazy @ss men at all. The Bible says for society to support Widows and Orphans, and we don't have an "PANDEMIC" of widows and orphans in the USA. What we have is a "PANDEMIC" of dead beat dads who refuse to work and support their children and their children's mothers.

Proverbs 13:4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

Proverbs 21:25 The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.

Proverbs 26:13 The lazy man says, “There is a lion in the road! A fierce lion is in the streets!” 14 As a door turns on its hinges, So does the lazy man on his bed. 15 The lazy man buries his hand in the bowl; It wearies him to bring it back to his mouth.

And if a person claims to be a Christian, but does not work to provide for their own family, then they are lying, and they are worse then a unbeliever(whatever this is)? But it's a bad thing to make God angry enough to consider you worse then an unbeliever. In other words, a dead beat dad has a one way ticket to Hell, no matter what he claims his said faith is.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

  The USA are the good guys, really? There is no such a thing as "good guys" in any country, including the USA. Almost Every country in the Western World has legalized infanticide, including the USA after the Roe vs Wade evil court decision. And who do you think led the world in the field of eugenics before Hitler made it taboo? It was the good old USA. Ever heard of Francis Galton? The cousin of Charles Darwin? Galton was the guy who spearheaded the eugenics movement in the USA after he read his cousins The Origin Of Species. So Hitler was evil for practicing eugenics on millions of people, but the USA and Great Briton is not? The USA can do no wrong? Our legalized infanticide is not evil? The USA aborts around 900,000 babies a year, but it's Ok, because its legal and all. if it's legal, then it's not infanticide after all. But if it was illegal, like it was before 1973, then it was considered infanticide under the law and was prohibited. Legal killing of innocent people like the handicapped and supposed lesser races of people that the USA practiced with their eugenics programs before World War 2 was Ok, but since Hitler started practicing eugenics, then it became horrible? The USA does it, it's cool, because the USA is the good guys after all? Really?

I am proud to be a citizen of the USA, but to say that the USA is the good guys, and that some of the USA's laws are not violently evil towards innocent citizens is beyond burying your head in the proverbial sand. The USA promotes infanticide and free money for the lazy who refuse to work and provide for their own families, and these two things are as wicked and vile as it gets. And i won't even mention the unjust warmongering around the World the USA promotes and gets involved in. We all know our political leaders are warmongers, and they have been so ever since World War 2 ended, the last just war the USA was involved in was WW2.

So true, I totally remember that time a litburd accused Bush of being born out of the US and cutting a classmate's head off.

They were posted in the threads about Bush being behind 9/11 and killing thousands of Americans to start a war over oil. You must have missed them.

Also, Nikki, it's pretty simple not to open threads that are obviously going to be full of these shenanigans. Most of us dont, but you seem to need to jump in and start swinging. A huge portion of the stuff said here isn't serious. We make jokes about death and rape and everything else. Calling the president names is tame.

It's not real. This place isn't a representative of the American Political Climate. It's a place to d!ck around and make fun of people. If you let it rile you up, this place wasnt for you to begin with. Leave, but save the 'Look! I'm going!' performance.

I must have missed the threads about 9/11 being an inside job - I don't remember a single person here ever seriously making that claim. Did torridjoe ever say that? :dunno:

I guess the "no blood for oil" thing is in the same ballpark so far as conspiracy theories go. I personally don't think it's as deranged as accusing the president of being born overseas or suggesting he's a lifelong serial killer who cut the head off a classmate, but we're just talking about degrees now.

Was Richard M. Nixon a Closet Marxist: Forward Together

46th Inaugural Theme, ‘Forward Together’ and its Marxist-Socialist-Communist origins reveal

Gus

Wed May 2, 2012 at 3:13 am PDT •

In an exclusive to Little Green Footballs this intrepid reporter has located what seems to be evidence of the phrase “Forward Together” used for the 46th Inaugural of America’s president in 1969 and being none other then the alleged anti-Communist, Richard M. Nixon. The inaugural slogan, utilized the word “Forward” — “a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism” and Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” which spanned the years 1949 to 1976. The Washington Times further explains:

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”

“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.

What follows is a selection of images from the “Forward Together” inaugural theme which begs the question? Was Richard M. Nixon a closet Marxist? What about the use of “Up With People” combined with the “Forward Together” in the inaugural float? Here we not only combine the Marxist “Forward” but “People” as in the People’s Republic of China.

Was Richard M. Nixon a closet Marxist? This could perhaps explain his eagerness to meet Mao in his famous visit to the People’s Republic of China and the ease with which he approved the communistic government agency, the Environmental Protection Agency. This is a rather disturbing revelation and may prove that Richard M. Nixon was the first Marxist president ever to be elected in the United States of America — a Republican-Marxist no less. It might also explain the ease with which Nixon handed over South Vietnam to the Red Chinese!

Geez Nikki. Are you kidding me? Threads like this are awesome. I love anything that exposes how truly focked up, imaginative, and paranoid people can be. The only thing that's upsetting is that it seems to be limited to BudBro and Little Rusty around here. DOn't you see that nutjobs like this only serve to make the Republican party seem more desparate and out of their minds.

Funny thing is, the only people who call these retards out are the liberals. I have yet to see a conservatve step up and tell these two that they are totally out of their mind. I understand that republitards get great joy in any article that speaks poorly of Obama, but for God's sake, you'd think a few of them would try to distance themselves from the maniacal rantings of these two lunatics. If for no other reason, at least to give themselves a bit of credibility.

why waste my time?

It's very relevant. There wasn't a magic button he could push on inaugeration day that magically undid all of the damage that happened to our country under the Republican presidency. He's sighting the changes that are taking place, the turnaround of the country, albeit slowly. His slogan is "Forward", which is what he's suggesting to the voters that we should keep heading. Just like Jerry Jones didn't fire Jimmy Johnson after his 1-15 season, the public shouldn't get rid of Obama after his first term, most of which he spent trying to deBush this place. hth

not fire him after his first term? this isn't any football game. this would be like making it to the superbowl and picking your qb for the night from the audience and hoping to win the game. none of his submitted budgets have been passed, as an example. this year's budget didn't even get ONE vote from people in HIS OWN party. if he includes things in his budget that he knows won't garner votes, then he's not taking the job seriously. i doubt you deal with other people in your life or your kids that way when you know that aren't genuine in their efforts. why would you give this guy a pass? i've read a lot of your posts newb and i'm guessing you're a pretty cool cat with a sense of humor. but, i have yet to really catch the real reasoning behind your blind support for obama. you still seem to be holding onto the "blame bush" mantra while dismissing the spending spree that has doubled the cost of living with nothing at all gained from it. we're not in a recovery...not even a slow one. it's going backward, not FORWARD. why would anyone not getting a check from the govt want to continue heading FORWARD down this road? there must come a time when we ask to get off the bus because we're lost. inflation is on the rise, that's the cost of living, and unemployment is out of control because his policies are not suited to helping gain manufacturing jobs, which are the only sustainable jobs. if we don't build anything or make anything, we don't need to hire anyone. the barriers of entry are getting bigger with his agencies and czars and business owners can't plan around his policies. just taxing the rich more won't do anything more than pay the bills for the entitlement programs. it won't help the people on the programs. i know you love to antagonize rp especially, but me and others also, which i take as spirited and worthy. but that aside, is there something you really adhere to or associate with?

Its easy to have a 50 year plan when only one party ever gets to be in charge. One of the downsides of democracy is it doesn't lend itself well to long term planning.

I don't know the numbers, but I'm guessing the majority of America thought the country was headed in the wrong direction in 2008, and a change was made.

Today a majority of Americans know the country is headed in the wrong direction. Time for another change. Obama failed miserably. He failed to fufill his promises of cutting the deficit in half, cutting unemployment, and a unicorn in every pot.
