Longest gun mounted on any airframe in the world. The overwhelming majority of the gun, roughly 75 to 80% of it is embedded in the fuselage of the Airship itself.

 

It is for all intents and purposes basically a flying gun.

Let's not be criticizing these planes, The Warthogs are 40 years old, effective (obviously), and cost friendly. The ones they're trying to replace them with are super high tech and 100x more expensive. When the enemy is the Taliban, the fancy gadgetry is unnecessary. Stick with the A-10s

In boot camp they showed us a video of one landing after an attack that was basically 2/3 of a plane. Those things are just ridiculous.
