It's a lot like Star Wars; "Shooter" was actually the sequel to "Lone Survivor" - even though Shooter was made first. After surviving that firefight on Sartolo Sar, he went on to leave the military, getting a sweet gig with BP. He was making great money, but damned if his rig didn't explode. Being the chief engineer, he got most of the blame. Went on to police work in Boston of all places, but that didn't end so well. Really, pretty much the last anybody's seen of him, he's trudging around Boston talking to a stuffed bear - and mooching cheeseburgers from his brother. Sad, really.
