    T. Jones or McCluster!

It hurts now. Have to assume CBS would rethink his status if he continues to get multiple carries from the backfield, though, so that hurt could/should be short-term. In ESPN leagues, he is already classified as a RB/WR.

    Advice on free host websites

ESPN has a free league option, but it does not appear to be customizable. We want a league into which we can import our own rules and scoring system.

    Advice on free host websites

We've been using RTS for the past several years, but we are looking into the option of a free site this year. I have used Yahoo, so I'm familiar with it, but I'm not at all familiar with the other main free sites -- FleaFlicker and NFL.com. I welcome any and all advice on which site is our best bet. Thanks!
  4. Grossman can throw a nice deep ball, and he had some pretty good games for Chicago. He also had some certifiably awful games. More of the latter, probably. Say "Good Rex/Bad Rex" to a Bears fan, and he will know exactly what you're talking about. So, it all depends on which Rex shows up. A rusty Rex doesn't sound too inviting to me. His biggest problem is his decision-making -- throwing it when/where he shouldn't -- and his fumble-itis. I think his arm and mechanics are supposed to be pretty good; it's his brain that you have to worry about. But he was only occasionally a big fantasy producer, even when Good Rex showed up. "Good Rex" typically meant an efficient game manager who didn't turn the ball over. What does all this mean for Moss? Hard to say. But the question mark with Grossman at the helm certainly gives me pause. I believe I'm going to start Steve Johnson instead of him now.

    Grooming ... is this collussion?

OK, so who is the swiftest player in the NFL, then?

Foul Play or Acceptable Roster Move

It's ridiculous for your opponent to be upset about this. You're talking about a little technicality here. You made the change before the game started, period. No reason to grumble about that (as long as the commish would do the same thing for anyone else in a similar situation, of course).
  7. Never bench your studs. I tend to live by that rule. This week I am seriously considering benching him (for Jonathan Stewart, who is facing the most generous defense to RBs in the league), but I don't know if I can bring myself to do it. AD owners -- what are you doing with him this week?

    Week 15 Sleeper Defense

I understand your qualms. However, the Bills D/ST have actually performed pretty well over the past four weeks after doing virtually nothing before that (assuming you earn points for sacks, INTs, and FRs). And Miami has been giving up a fair amount of points to D/STs over the same period. I don't think you would be crazy to start the Bills D at all. Good luck.

Tell my why Ray Rice is a top 5 pick

He said it's a non-PPR performance league, not a TD-only league. Rice is as solid a pick as any at #5, IMHO. Gore would be a solid pick, too, but Rice is likely to outperform Gore in terms of receiving yards, and he's also four years younger, so he'll have fresher legs (Gore is not over the hill, but he's got a lot more mileage on him). Take whichever one you're more comfortable with, because neither one is a stretch at #5. The idea is not to screw the pooch at that point.

Ugliest uniforms ever to be worn this week!

    Those weren't even throwbacks.

I just realized: Hannah Storm is f'ing hot!

I'm old. She's hot. Not in a Megan Fox kind of way, of course; more in an I-could-conceivably-hook-up-with-her-under-the-right-circumstances kind of way. OK, probably not too conceivable or possible, but much more conceivable and possible than Megan Fox. Plus Hannah is cute, she knows sports, and she doesn't seem like a wicked rag. For us old guys, that's golden.

    Fantasy Strategy

I agree. The only time cancellation theory makes any sense to me is when you are absolutely 50/50 on the two receivers. If all else is absolutely equal between the two, and you would otherwise have to flip a coin to decide who to start, then sure, take the guy to whom your opponent's QB will be throwing. Other than that, make your lineup choices on your best guess of who is going to score more points in their game that week, period.

Dwayne Bowe for Terrell Owens Straight Across

That sums it up pretty well.

    Marshawn Lynch

Jauron says they will both see time. [Article] Last year, Lynch had twice as many attempts as Jackson, so you have to assume that he has the edge. My guess is that a similar distribution of carries is likely this year, assuming Lynch is up to snuff. Jackson may get equal carries this week, but I look for that to end quickly, and he'll go back to being the #2 behind Lynch. Of course, I've been wrong before.

    Julius Jones

He's not an elite runner, but he's a fairly good one. He's relatively young, so he still has some legs, and they are using him a lot. The only fear was that Edge would come in and and take away carries, but that hasn't happened yet and isn't likely to happen. If Edge had anything left, he would still be starting in Arizona, not discarded and signed as a backup in Seattle. I don't think he's a threat to become the featured back. Julius never really broke out in Dallas, but then he had to share time with MBIII. And remember that Julius' brother, Thomas, looked like a relative bust the first four years of his career with Arizona and then TB. Wasn't until he got to the Bears that he started to excel. Maybe Julius is following the same growth curve. Regardless, I think it's safe to say he's not a one-week wonder, he's clearly the lead RB, and he's been scoring TDs and accumulating yardage, so in that sense, he's definitely for real. Is he going to finish as a top-10 RB this year? Jury's still out. But I think he should be a serviceable #2 RB at least.
