Finished a deep auction draft

Recommended Posts

I tried to see what would happen if I snagged two top 3 running backs and then filled in around them. Problem is the league is DEEP.

QB: Ben Roethlisberger - $2

WR: Ernest Wilford - $2

WR: Lee Evans - $4

WR: Isaac Bruce - $2

RB: Larry Johnson - $82

RB: Ladanian Tomlinson - $82

TE: Heath Miller - $1

W/T: Keyshawn Johnson - $6

W/R: Curtis Martin - $3

K: Mike Vanderjagt - $1

DEF: Baltimore - $1

D: Ray Lewis - $2

D: Mike Peterson - $1

BN: Matt Leinart - $1

BN: Ty Law - $1

BN: Drew Brees - $2

BN: Dee Brown - $2

BN: Greg Jones - $1

BN: Roddy White - $1

BN: Braylon Edwards - $1

Threw out leinart early trying to get others to spend cash on him. worked with a few others but no one bit on him. Probably dropping him to snag Houston as I need a backup for Martin.

Wow. Talk about putting your eggs in one basket (or in this case, 2)! You are definately set at starting RB. Backups could be a problem, especially at bye weeks. But for most weeks, you should be ok. Your quarterback situation is interesting. Two quarterbacks coming off injuries and a third that is an unsigned rookie. I do think that Big Ben and The Mole will be ready to play and have good seasons. And Leinart may see some action later on in the season if Warner struggles or the Cardinals record sucks. Your WR situation is going to be your weak area, I am afraid. You dont have a great #1 receiver. Bruce is old and doesn't get as many looks as he used to. I dont have a lot of confidence in Wilford or Evans, although either one could be a suprise this year. Roddy White might be a sleeper if Vick improves his passing this year. Defensively, I think you are ok. It will be interesting to see how your season plays out. This was kind of a gamble. Not sure I would have the balls to do it.
