What happened was that Kutulu had cheated in one of Bill E's megolodon tooth contests by editing his picks after the first week's games started.

 

What triggered it is that Bill had accidentally failed to record Kutulu's entry. Now, I'd known that Kutulu really had made one and was right that Bill had accidentally missed the entry. I would have had his back. Unfortunately for Kutulu (and me), in that same post, I'd also known that his pick was Denver over SF and he'd taken this opportunity for a second chance to change his pick to Denver over Seattle in the Super Bowl. I called him out on it. He essentially gave himself a week one playoff bye and it was unnecessary (SF would later have advanced in week one anyways, Seattle, meanwhile, had a bye). Kutulu would go on to make it all the way to the Super Bowl before, as you surely recall, Seattle handed Denver their ass.

 

When I pointed out what he'd done I'd expected a few others would have my back and the matter would soon be resolved. I wasn't forecasting a sh*tstorm. Surely plenty of us were as freakishly intense and obsessive with this cr@p as I am. Just a few and that should have been enough.

 

Nope. I was wrong. No one did. Some others were pretty sure he did but not entirely so. Not like me who had been dead nuts certain. The vast majority had no idea. I was essentially on my own.

 

So, instead of admitting what he'd done, he went off on me. In turn, I took off the gloves. We had a huge back and forth. I was pissed.

 

Eventually, I PMed Mike to see if Admins had the ability to see if/when posts had been edited. This was sure to resolve it. While we waited, he started to apologize and had wanted to make peace. He'd been such a complete insulting ass though that I refused. I wanted him to be exposed and my reputation cleared for all he'd put me through. I can't stand cheating and wrestling in the mud with him had put me in an extremely foul mood. Besides, I had him by the balls and we both knew it. I wasn't letting him off the hook. Fock him. Burn.

 

Now, I was taking heat from the board for being obsessed with something trivial -and maybe they were right in hindsight. Inadvertently, I did provide an epic sh*tfight for you fockers enjoyment although I can't say it was much fun.

 

Anyways, Mike came back and said Admins cannot determine if/when messages were edited. Sh1t. Fock. I was crushed; there was no way to prove what he'd done. The issue would forever remain unresolved. Worse, later I'd see that I'd/we'd damaged Bill E's enthusiasm for megateeth contests, there's only been one more since then.

 

Anyways, after Mike's post I was exhausted and wanted to put the matter behind me. At that point, I'd agreed to Kutulu's request to just drop the whole matter. Besides, we'd been on the board together for years and I'd always liked him up until this happened. We'd never had an issue before. Maybe we could go back to that. Kutulu now knew he was in the clear though, knew I'd had no proof. So he exhaled, had a sudden change of mind, and he pulled his peace offer. He's been a d1ck to me ever since.

 

So, that's why we don't get along.

I don't recall you even participating in that thread. Not that it matters anymore. It's all lost in Geek Club lore now. Kutulu is generally a good guy that people don't want to believe would do something like this, so what can I say? I know what I know. It's frustrating that the only people who know for sure what he did are me and him but that's how it turned out. When Mike said he can't determine whether or not a post has been edited, that's how it all ended.

No, a handful of others are only 75% sure. I'm not. I'm 100% sure. The reason I'm so sure is that I went over that list dozens of times tying to identify the best location on there. I'm a little bit obsessive and weird like that. I'm too intense and competitive. I knew all the teams that had Denver over Seattle since I had Denver over Seattle and in those dozens of times reviewing the list, I was focused like a laser especially on Denver over Seattle picks whereas nothing else was of much interest. That was my entire point for reviewing - the search for any new entries diluting out the Den over Seattle soup. Every time I reviewed, all the other Denver over Seattle picks jumped out at me. Every time. Meanwhile, not one time did kutulu's selection jump out at me.

 

Eyewitnesses to crimes don't review the scene 50 times looking explicitly at the exact thing that wound up being relevant and noting 50 times out of 50 all the other participants that had Denver over Seattle.

 

So yes, I do know 100% not 99 that Kutulu is full of sh*t. He was not Denver over Seattle. If I'm wrong at all, it's that I incorrectly had him pegged as Denver over San Francisco since I wasn't paying much attention to Denver over SF so I just kind of skimmed past kutulu's selection and picked it up by osmosis. That's where my 75% is. But then, since other obsessive s also IDed him as likely Den over SF, and didn't have Den over Sea, they weren't as sure as I was. I have. Really. It's easy since I have a clear conscience. Mike broke my heart when he told everyone that he lacks the ability to confirm that kutulu'd edited his post. I had to pick up the pieces and move on. Time helps.

 

I do have the benefit of knowing that I'm right and also knowing that kutulu knows I'm right. So that also helps. Sadly, another thing we also both know is that I failed to produce a smoking gun.

 

I don't ever talk about it or dwell on it because I'm sick of it. I want to put it behind me move on. Look at the responses here. I can argue my case, but it's too long and since they don't care, they don't read it. And even i you did care a little, it's too much work. Then at the end of the day, I know I can't prove anything so it's pointless. When Mike failed to come through for me, it became my word against kutulu's.

 

But yeah, I haven't fully made my peace with kutulu. We obviously don't like each other. He's mad because I stained his reputation. Eh, he fully deserves it, fock him. Also notice who brought it up. Kutulu literally spent about one minute on those shark tooth picks while working and never thought about them again, let alone changing his picks...until doosh of the decade come along out of the blue accusing him off cheating.
