wiffleball 4,631 Posted October 15, 2017 You know who has a right to be pissed? DeShaun Watson. He already has more touchdowns this year than Brock Osweiler had all of last year combined. And how much did that f***** get paid last year? This year?
wiffleball 4,631 Posted October 15, 2017 Hey Cap, there is no such thing as a right to play quarterback in the NFL. People could blackball you for being stupid they could blackmail you for having red hair for Christ's sake. These owners kick out a lot of money and they should certainly have the right to spend that money any f****** way they see fit. F****** what's next? Suing because your third string and you self-identify as a starter?

Djgb13 2,338 Posted October 15, 2017 Thing is you just KNOW BLM and Antifa are going to be behind him 100% and pushing it nonstop on social media. The small percentage they are they will push it to where it seems EVERYONE supports him. The guy has had offers and turned them down. Was fixing to get signed by the Ravens until his gf started trashing the organization on social media which put an end to those negotiations

MTSkiBum 1,593 Posted October 16, 2017 I have said it before, i think his biggest problem is his vegan diet. The guy used to be built like a defensive end, now he looks like a wide receiver, and a skinny one at that. He needs to give up his diet and hit the gym. :edit: I realize the diet works for Brady and other's, but that is not what Collin's strength was when the niners made it to the superbowl. Saint Elistan 106 Posted October 16, 2017 I did some light reading on the subject and the CBA allows for a 90-Day window on any relevant evidence so if he has something, it's recent. If I had to guess, any potential "evidence" would be related to Owner (or more likely the League Office) discussion of kneeling. He would basically need the League advising teams directly not to sign him to have a case. It would just have to be either two teams or the League and one team. wiffleball 4,631 Posted October 16, 2017 As much as I f'ing hate the NBA, one MY biggest turn-offs from the NFL in the last several years is that every GD thing has to be litigated anymore. From shrunk balls to Zeke and on and on and on. In my view, that's the reason why you have" CBA. It's just getting focking annoying that every time a player feels butt hurt, we're having another OJ trial. Yet, at the same time, Goodell rules on everything. Just look at the Zeke bullshiit over the summer and up to now. Gawddamn. Can't think of another sport where it's "will he be suspended and how long?" "the league announced today..." "the players lawyer has contacted the NFLPA" "the league has responded..." "the 9th circuit court has agreed to hear..." "the NFL has challenged the situs of the court case, opting for X federal court..." "the 9th circuit court has remanded the case back to..." .....yaddda yadddda 18 more steps before: "the player has agreed to..." I mean, show me where in the NBA, hockey or MLB we've seen that. And we see it constantly these days with the NFL.
giraldi02 470 Posted October 16, 2017 I love the whole "he opted out of his contract" line. He was gonna get cut. Everybody but a few idiots understand that. Particularly when John Lynch himself confirmed it: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/the-49ers-wouldve-cut-colin-kaepernick-if-he-hadnt-opted-out-of-his-contract/ The key to collusion is gonna be if there is anything in discovery. The secrets of these NFL owners are potentially going to be revealed. This might not expose collusion against Kaepernick, but there might be a whole lot of other skeletons in those closets. Toradol, CTE, suspensions (or a lack thereof), money exchanging hands, etc. The NFL would almost be wise to nominate a dummy team to sign him, or publicly offer him a contract. That would essentially negate any lawsuit no?

That would essentially negate any lawsuit no? problem is he actually opted out, he should have waited to be cut, then he might have had a hope at discrimination or collusion if I know my work is going to fire me, I am not doing them any favors and quitting as far as a dummy team, 2 teams brought him in to work out, Carroll didn't see him as a fit even in Seattle, and his ###### messed up any chance he had in Balt

As a result, he would have missed most of free agency and would've been unable to sign on a team before the draft. If he had been on a roster, and released, no, he wouldn't have had an excuse. Other teams would have had the excuse. They could've said, well, sorry, but we already signed or drafted our quarterbacks. The argument against him opting out is beyond facetious. Arguing his skill set, or his abilities sure. But when Matt Cassel still has a job, I'm not convinced it's just about that. And the word "distraction" doesn't really fit anymore in the current NFL landscape. Ultimately, I don't care. I'd love to see these NFL owners get a served a slice of humble pie, but at the end of the day it's not something I'll likely pay much attention to because I know the results will favor the big business, not the worker. TimmySmith 2,782 Posted October 16, 2017 It only takes two parties to be collusion, you simpleton. It doesn't have to be every team. The simpleton is the one who thinks one team gives a ratsass about who another team signs. Kaepernick's definition of collusion applies to every person not in the nfl. 32 teams don't want us. Must be collusion.
