Video: Copying League Rules and Scoring

Recommended Posts

Save some typing, copy league settings and scoring from last year.

It has come to my attention very recently this may not work in the Office 365 version for Mac. If anyone else has any trouble with this feature then please reply and tell me Excel version and operating system. Thanks!

Hi Mike - Getting this error:

Microsoft Visual Basic

Run Time Error '9':

Subscript out of range.

only option given at that point is "Abort".

Mac, OS X El Capitan

Excel version 15.23.2 (from Office 365 subscription)

Both last year's file and this year's are in the same folder and both open.

Thanks,

cpit

Thanks cpit. That is the setup I am having problems with too. I think that message is not giving us the true reason for the error, and as a result I haven't been able to come up with a solution for this yet.

You will have to input the settings yourself in the 2016 version for now. Tip: you can manually copy the scoring tab from the old to new to save time ... highlight the table from upper-left to bottom-right, and use paste special > as values. That will save most of the time as the rules tab isn't very onerous.
