Dawginator 0 Posted August 21, 2006 I've been offered two trade options for Tarvaris Jackson & Greg Jennings Option #1 Chris Brown & Brian Calhoun for T. Jackson & G. Jennings Option #2 Kevan Barlow & Brian Calhoun for T. Jackson & G. Jennings Which option do you think is best or would you not take either one of them? I play in a 12-team dynasty league (non-ppr) and I think I need to acquire some yound dynasty RB depth. We start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE and 1 FLEX position. Here is my current roster: Culpepper, Daunte MIA QB Jackson, Tarvaris MIN QB McNair, Steve BAL QB Pennington, Chad NYJ QB Gado, Samkon GBP RB Johnson, Larry KCC RB Jordan, Lamont OAK RB Martin, Curtis NYJ RB Moats, Ryan PHI RB Suggs, Lee CLE RB Williams, Ricky FA RB Bradley, Mark CHI WR Burleson, Nate SEA WR Burress, Plaxico NYG WR Ferguson, Robert GBP WR Gabriel, Doug OAK WR Jennings, Greg GBP WR Moss, Santana WAS WR Parker, Eric SDC WR Anderson, Courtney OAK TE Franks, Bubba GBP TE Winslow, Kellen CLE TE Wilkins, Jeff STL PK Chiefs, Kansas City KCC Def Thanks in advance for all replies
FBH ** 0 Posted August 21, 2006 This trade should not change your team for this year at all, except giving you the option to use Brown or Barlow as necessary for bye week fill in. But the long term implications are the question. Calhoun could do well in Detroit, but KJ is there and he is still a young RB, so it may take a while to reap any rewards from that situation. But you would be giving up the future starter for the Vikings at QB, they are already making him the back-up, and a future starter at WR for the Pack. I don't think that you are getting enough in return if you are attempting to better your team long term, if you need the help for this season, it may be beneficial. Thanks very much for your input...I edited my original post to include our starting lineup requirements. We have a FLEX position that can be either a RB, WR, or TE...our scoring system favors workhorse RBs. Does this additional information change your analysis of these trade options?
