Djgb13 2,338 Posted October 1, 2017 Seriously. The burgers are good but the rest of the menu tastes like garbage. But they claim that "everyone agrees In n Out is the best!" Yea, no they don't. Maybe the rest of California does. But not the rest of America. And they take personal offense to it if you say In n Out is overrated and not that good. Until they at least fix their dam fries (which taste like focking cardboard) they won't ever be the best. Give me whataburger any day
wiffleball 4,631 Posted October 1, 2017 Excellent call on Whataburger by the way. Notwithstanding guys like beer Meister, I'm really hoping we're over the whole best hamburger, food truck, quinoa, overall trendy b******* that we saw the Food Network propagate over the last decade. Whether we're talking about a burger or pizza or what the f*** ever, it's a burger or it's Pizza. Even when it's bad, it's pretty damn good. And the idea that you can somehow name one of them the best? Is f****** b*******. I know a guy whose Place ended up on Playboys top 10 Burger list. That was a scam and a half. even he admits it. Don't know that you'll change people, but you can sure ignore them. Places like New York Texas Chicago Los Angeles, they all claim to have the best. But that's totally subjective and in a world where ingredients can be reached just as easily in Iowa as they are in Okinawa, most of these things are nothing more than marketing. Djgb13 2,338 Posted October 1, 2017 My thing is I actually like In n Outs burgers. However that's it. I can't eat their fries because they honestly taste like cardboard. I'd rather head to whataburger where I can get a good burger AND some good fries. But you tell someone from Cali that? It's like you spit in their face and they turn into an offended crybaby
Bier Meister 1,512 Posted October 1, 2017 in-n-out used to excellent fast food up until about 5-10 years ago. burgers and fries were better. both have gone downhill, but i think that is the case across the board. if i am craving a ff burger it it will be in-n-out, carls jr, JITB. fries at in-n-out: dine in are fine drive through: extra crispy

Djgb13 2,338 Posted October 1, 2017 Aren't you guys too old for fast food? I'm in my 20s. Fast food is great. Doubt I'll stop eating fast food as I get older. Though I don't eat fast food much as it is now so it'll prob be much less when I'm older
Cloaca du jour 2,064 Posted October 1, 2017 My family on the go so much we eat too much fast food. Kids have sports... teen group at church... part time jobs... to get the four of us home at the same time for dinner is incredible feat of logistics
Djgb13 2,338 Posted October 1, 2017 My family on the go so much we eat too much fast food. Kids have sports... teen group at church... part time jobs... to get the four of us home at the same time for dinner is incredible feat of logistics Honestly I would love to start a healthy fast food joint but the problem with that is it being "fast" as well as the cost portion of it. To eat healthy is actually expensive. To eat like sh1t all you have to spend is a couple of dollars. There'd be a huge market for it if someone could get the cost portion of it down without sacrificing flavor or healthiness of the food

SenatorRock 708 Posted October 2, 2017 What exactly is the rest of the menu? They have bomb burgers, fries made from these things called fresh cut potatoes, and shakes made from real ice cream. That's the entire menu.Burgers are made fresh, from real hamburger meat that is not frozen. Fries are literally cut fresh from a potato in front of your eyes and dumped into the fryer where they are cooked in sunflower oil. If people don't like the taste of In & Out it is because they are so used to eating artificial food from other chains. In & Out fries do not taste bad, they taste like potatoes. I always eat about 10-15 yellow peppers with my fries anyways so I don't mind the plain natural flavor. Best thing about In & Out is the price though. For $5 you can get a double double, fries, and water cup. Or if you are on that low-carb diet get 2 protein style double doubles for $6.

IGotWorms 3,302 Posted October 2, 2017 In N Out burgers are good but the fries are not. And don't give me the handcut potatoes thing. I've eaten plenty of other places with handcut fries that did not come across like soggy tasteless cardboard.
