Recommended Posts

With the bye weeks coming up anyone give me a couple sleeper receivers to pickup?

Currently have Landry, Meredith, Coleman, Shephard

Depending on depth of your league:

Humphries with Vjax out

Torrey Smith gets some relevance back with Kaep

Kendall Wright

Kenny Britt - prob gone.

Jermaine Kearse

Marquise Goodwin with Woods iffy.

Jamison Crowder might get a boost with Reed out

Guys like Ted Ginn, Marqise Lee, La Fell are prob available and will have a good week somewhere but its entirely unpredictable.

Some are kinda meh but slim pickins during byes

Try to find someone with a path to relevance is my advice.

I like Crowder when Reed is out and T Smith also. T Smith's slot was always effective in Chip's system but Gabbert couldn't get him the ball. Moncrief might be on some wires right now and they are week or two from getting back. I think Justin Hunter could be the sneaky guy to own if Woods is out.

i think our boy c-shorts is the guy in tampa until he stubs his vag fwiw. id bet on him to start over humphries.

I saw that, but I wonder in what quarter he pulls a hammy.

Cecil Shorts III would be such a good one if we could trust him to stay on the field. I like the idea of someone emerging in Tampa.

I think Tyrell Williams needs to be stashed and watched pretty closely. Folks are starting to give up on him and I think he could end up being a sneaky combustible option when San Diego plays some weaker comp later on in the season. And with a Travis Benjamin starting to be hurt weekly, Tyrell could be getting called on more even sooner.

B Perriman. I can see him moving Wallace aside. He's starting to get looks and he fits what Flacco does best.

To choose from have:

Kendall Wright

Desean Jackson

Sanu

Britt but I need a WR next week

Moncrief

Michael Floyd

Davante Adams probably won't get him off waivers

Perriman

Thielen

Shorts

Patterson

Aiken

Patterson. He'll be starting opposite Diggs soon.

I remember how I bought into his hype two years ago. I hope he has grown up.

Only other receivers I have are Meredith and Corey Coleman

Perriman could be interesting. He is growing and I think next year will be better when Smith perhaps retires.

IND WR Chester Rogers. He is an UDFA out of Grambling St. Rogers had a solid preseason (7 rec, 174 rec yds), has shown a rapport with Luck, and has 9 total receptions in the Colts' last 3 games. Dorsett has shown nothing and is now hurt. Even when Moncrief comes back, Rogers has made a case for starting in 3 wide sets. With no Allen for forseeable future, Colts may revert back to 3 wr base offense instead of 12 personnel.

Curious why people would start giving up on him. Guy just went 1/117/1 two weeks ago. Then faced Denver, which, you know, if you started him last week, you're either desperate and knowing what to expect, or you're not paying attention.

I doubt anyone expects WR1 from him. He's in my WR3 mix, and he's doing just that.

Michael Floyd is terrible but it's getting a point where it's either him or jj Nelson since the Browns are hurting. And if he's not on the free agent list, he could probably be had for something close to nothing.

He has. If you have deep benches, he is worth a stash.

I have a feeling he turns it around as well. Contract year, hurting Browns and he's much better than he's been playing. He'll be putting up some points.

I don't, so I will just have to watch from afar.

I'm wondering if Kendall Wright should be stashed? I already have 5 counting Coleman who may be back week 8, so maybe he is not needed.

Thoughts on Kendall?

I hate to bring up this name as he's burned me before but Justin Hunter is in a great spot with Robert Woods out. He has TD's in back to back weeks on very limited targets and is up against a sorry D and the team that cut him earlier this year.

I also like the Patterson call, but only if the team starts treating him like Percy Harvin. They need to manufacture plays for him be it lining up in the backfield, screens, etc.

I've been stashing Perriman for awhile hoping for a breakout which hasn't come but he's starting to show flashes plus the opportunity for him is starting to emerge. I don't think there's anyone on the WW that offers his upside.

Ughhh...so may I need to decide who to drop now

Meredith is my only receiver not on a bye next week and I will need to drop either Shephard, Derrick Henry, or Gillislee to pick up another WR

may drop Meredith also?

You gotta keep Gilly. Maybe you can try to trade Henry to the Murray owner for some low end wr you don't hate. But keep Gilly. I can't imagine a way he doesn't end up with hella touches next week. Rex is usually at his best vs Pats cuz that's how he keeps getting jobs.

I started Patterson in a few spots. I was kicking myself for the first 3 quarters. I think it's great that Minn has enough confidence in him to keep getting him the ball. He is due for a long td too.

Perriman was targeted twice on long passes. Both picked off. Back to the WW with him

Hopkins has had the hardest schedule for a WR to this point, after this week he has the easiest. That flip flop makes him a good buy low candidate, as someone who could turn his season around in a big way the second half of the year.

He's gonna continue too. His hard schedule is every week that Brock is starting. (Hopkins keeper here...)

He's in a run first offense where he's either the 3rd or 4th option behind Walker, Matthews and probably Sharpe. I can't imagine you're going to get consistent enough production where you can start him from week to week.

I wish I could argue with that logic.
