Any thoughts on Kaepernick's possible destination?

Recommended Posts

Tyreek Hill has skills that can help his team win. Kaepernick does not.

And the fact that ratings don't take a dip with his presence but they (supposedly) do because of Kaepernicks protest is telling

because this just happened yesterday.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jul/5/colin-kaepernick-protests-celebrating-independence/

“How can we truly celebrate independence on a day that intentionally robbed our ancestors of theirs? To find my independence I went home.”

the guy is perfectly free to stand up for what he believes in. but teams are perfectly free not to bring in that kind of distraction.

If he thinks black people have it better in Ghana than they do here, then he should stay there. The fact that they don't, should be a glimpse into why Kaepernick isn't signed. Decision making clearly isn't his strength.

What I found funny is the the people who seemed to be the most outraged are the ones that like to use the term "snowflake" when trying to demean others that they find to be pansies.

Without really challenging your premise here, why do you find it funny? Here's a guy who is a multi-millionaire protesting the country that provided him such an opportunity? After white people adopted him and raised him to be an upstanding American citizen?

No. The guy is a whiny anti-American hypocrite, and ignorant additionally. He obviously doesn't care to understand that to honor the US Flag by standing and removing your cap is a nod to what the flag stands for: it is to honor the mechanism put in place by our Founders to combat abrogation of Human Rights, to pursue Life, Liberty and Justice.

Not to complain and spit at the flag merely because perfection has not been attained. By his standard, there isn't a country on Earth which would satisfy him.

Don't confuse outrage at such demonstrations of rank hypocrisy with a decided inability to cope with adversity; a key trademark of a 'snowflake'.

To me, getting upset over a football player kneeling during the National Anthem to express one of his rights is very hypocritical.

That's only because you don't understand what hypocrisy is. Those getting outraged are nearly unanimously expressing it as a result of the ridiculous demonstration of fantasy manifest in a multi-millionaire star athlete whose country granted him not only white parents to adopt him and raise him in a wholesome environment, but then provided him the opportunity to maximize the financial potential of his gifts.

This isn't about his 'right' to express his views. It's about our right to condemn him for expressing asinine views. Not every expressed view should be celebrated, you know.

Those same people are perfectly fine getting over a player beating his wife, girlfriend or child as long as they help their favorite team or fantasy team win games. This is what bothers me the most.

You made that up. Plenty of people - nearly all - do not do as you claim. Beyond that, there is another critical difference: the country is what Kaepernick and his fans are supposed to have in common, and people took personal offense at his refusal to do so.

Fans don't have wives, girlfriends and children in common with the players, so the degree to which they took those offenses personally is much different. Fans are not obligated to really equally in disparate situations.

As for Kaep not getting signed yet, I feel that teams don't want to put up with the media and fans complaining for what it will cost to get him and what he can bring to the team. There isn't a team that's desperate enough yet but that doesn't mean there won't be closer to the start of the season.

I hear that the Fallujah Jihadists have expressed interest.

Your wrong.

The people of this Country had nothing to do with his talent or his parents.

God did.

This country is what it has been because of God and will be what it will end up being because of God.

Man can't save anyone or can control anything, it's God and only up to God.

Why do you think it's your right to condemn any one for standing up for what someone else believes in?

I don't see how you can say that. First off, you don't have a clue as to what anyone else thinks. I have no idea how many there are so I'm not sure why you'd say that about me. I can't imagine there are an overwhelming amount but I think just a few is already too many. I'd be curious to know what you think many are leading us to believe?

This may be an extreme example but I compare it to this, what if there were child molesters that were working in child care? I'm sure there may be some and I think we can all agree that just one of them being in the profession is too many. If a person is a child molester they shouldn't be allowed around children and if a person is racist they shouldn't be in law enforcement, regardless of what color they are.

if a person is racist they dont belong in society. But that's not something I have control over. But when I see it, I do what I can to stomp it out.

When you can't spell a two word sentence correctly it makes the rest of your message seem ignorant.

Man can take a grammar class by free will, but according to you it's all up to God.

I pray for you Weepaws.

1. What do you personally do to stomp it out?

2. I don't believe you when you say you will pray for me, you said yourself you can't trust someone with lie in their own name.

3. And if you where to truly pray for me, to whom would you be praying too?

4. Its God universe so he's truly in control of everything, so you are correct about that.

God's a jerk.

Some day I'd like to ring his doorbell. When he opens those pearly white gates. Kick him in the nuts, and then when he's hunched over. Punch him right in the nose.

Take it easy Francis. Luckily we live in a great country that allows a person to stand up for what he believes in, even if it goes against what the masses like. I don't like what Kaepernick did either and I thought it was really stupid but I believe in a country that gives him the right to do it. I also believe that people like you have the right to get upset about it and spew a bunch of crap about him.

I'm curious how many of the Kaeperinick haters are against gay marriage as well since it's probably against what they believe in or their religion.

I'm perfectly happy with gay people doing whatever it is that makes them happy. I don't think there should be laws that prevent them from attaining what they want. That said, they shouldn't ask for or get special treatment. They are entitled to have everything that everyone else has.

All that being out there... Kaepernick is an idiot and I'm perfectly fine if the NFL owners never want to sign him ever again.

Social justice warriors get shot in real life doing that shitt. Hope thats something you only do behind a keyboard. Cause if you think some guy who is being racist is going to look at you as anything other than an uncle tom type traitor you are dead wrong and could easily end up just.....dead.

Not sure about you but I have a kid. He is the ONLY thing I owe my loyalty to in this life. I OWE it to him not to make bad decisions that could end up with him not having a dad. Poking my nose in a situation so I could stomp out racism is not S M R T as homer would say.

Nobody gets out alive. I have two kids and I don't know what kind of dad I'd be to watch some awful racist stuff happen in front of us and not throat punch somebody.

But I see your point. It's all choices.

Im okay with gay people as long as they act like other couples. Problem is they are always trying to make statements by over hanging on each other and kissing. Another thing you can say you are okay with it, but being at cedar point and not knowing ahead of time its gay pride day and im sure you leave the park if u have kids.

Here is one that blows me away. Madonna at age 58 dancing like a retard at cussing and singing like a jr high kid about the president. Some social service person out there found here suitable to adopt kids. I actually wasn't surprised what she said about the doing to the white house, this was live footage I caught on c-span that no other channel will show.

My kids and I would have a fabulous time.

Homophobia and racism will eventually be bred out of society, its inevitable. There will be fringe pockets who continue to cleave to old ways of thinking in their homes and communities, and that's their prerogative.

I'm fine with Kaep speaking his truth and fine with those who judge him for it.

So your okay with 2 people of the same sex making out in front of your kids for 2 to 3 hours while your kid sits and stares and tries to figure it out while you wait to ride a rollercoaster?

Two things that redsrback said that really showed his true colors, "as long as they act like other people" and "retard." That gives me a better idea of what kind of person he is.

I think public displays of affection are ok (to an extent), across the board - even though I'm not a really big fan of it. I don't think any couple should be making out in public. The only reason people do that is for attention. To me, that's not acceptable.

That's a reasonable answer though. You just don't like seeing PDA in general and treat it equally. Saying that it's alright for straight people to kiss in public but it's not for gay people is showing a major a major bias. If anyone is worried about gays kissing in front of their kids then you may have a parenting issue.

I think the people who are making out In front of kids straight or gay should indeed take it elsewhere.

Kids have enough to deal with they don't need to see people making out.

Agree with first point.

Second point no. Kids today are so coddled it's insane. Most are dealing with what dessert choice they are going to have. So diabolical. Lol.

As long as you treat it all the same I'm good with it. As for the kids, they see all that on TV and on youtube that I'm not concerned about it. Stop worrying about what others are doing in front of children and just be a good parent. Educate your children so things like that don't freak them out.

Yes we should worry about that.

Do you think watching people do nasty things in front of kids is healthy for kids, and it sure does sound like you do to me.

Being a good parent is taking control of what they see and what they are doing, its not sitting around watching porn on tv with them.

Oh my soul.

No one should be making out in front of kids.

And if they are indeed seeing this stuff on tv I have an easy great parent way of taking care to that.

Get rid of the tv.

Kissing/embraces and affection are not nasty things little hands. Repressive/hypocritical religion seems to have taught YOU that, but much of the rest of the world doesn't think that way.

Someone doing so in front of kids sure can be nasty.

I've seen people making out in public before and it's not always pretty.

I'm sure you like to stick around and give yourself something to work with for when you get home later on there Ralphy boy.

Not for kids.

And it's a true Honor to me that you recognize me and respect me has a Christian.

But I wasn't raised as a Christian.

I was raised as one like you an atheist.

So I say Thank you sir. Lol.

Holy crap man, it must be rough living in your shoes. If I was in public with my children and I saw something inappropriate I would just avoid the issue. If the issue can not be avoided then it's my job as a parent to explain it to them. Not a big deal. I guess where we really disagree is with what we think is inappropriate.

We are the parents and as the parents it's are job to protect them from all stumbling blocks.

Now they will fall down they will break an arm, and that's all good. It happens. And it's good, they need to grow.

I believe in winning and losing and I believe that you don't deserve a blue ribbon because you tried.

But I also believe that kids can fall into confusion very easily and that usually comes from things that they see, and hear and even taught.

Smileseers I'm still waiting for your answer on who pray to, when you said you will pray for me.

Hawkeye you're right we do differ, I'm very concern what children are being shown in this world today, and for the most part I agree with you it's bad. And they can see it anywhere on tv or YouTube and I think it's not ok to stop worrying about what they are being taught or seeing.

Ralph read Proverbs 21:29 and stop worrying about my stats on this here board.

You say kids can get confused and you're right. That's where being a good parent comes in. Help your kids to understand better. Teach them what truly is right and wrong and let them know they are still able to make their own choices growing up but they all have consequences.

Make sure you let you children know it's ok to be different and they don't have to follow your specific morals. Just because you kid sees two guys making out does not mean he is going to be gay. Just because you are afraid your children could be gay does not mean you should shield them from seeing it in the real world. It's our job as parents to let them decide on their own and support them, not suppress them.

Once again the sexual preference of people is the choice they will make, but no one should be making out in front of kids.

No matter if they are gay or straight.

Kids need to learn and it's the parents job to teach them.

If you teach your own kids what you believe is right I see no problem in that.

But as they grow up and out they will indeed be making their own choices, no matter how they are raised.

Parents need to raise their own kids on their own beliefs.

And if their children choice another way to go, I have no problem with it, it's their own choice.
