Sleeper handcuffs and in my opinion I'm taking them over some of the other higher names cuffs and that's Jamaal Williams from GB, Deangelo Henderson in DEN, and Donta Foreman in HOU. The first two guys I'm willing to pull in rounds 9-11 in my keeper league just to ensure I get em

I really like Henderson Foreman also. Would you rather have one of those 2 over say T.West or Quizz Rodgers(may keep starter job)?

Depends on Quizz but I would take any of this guys above Terrance west. Ravens are gonna be bad offensively and there OLine is bottom third in league

Mccaffery **wouldn't consider him a handcuff at all. If anything, Stewart is.**

I would agree.

But some rosters show Stewart as the first Rb on their team.

But I would agree that Mccaffery would be the rb1 and Stewart the handcuff.

But I still think Stewart will be the early down Rb to start the season so I'm going to stick with that listing.

Thank you for the replay.

So is Denvers O line though? So why so high on Henderson? Im just curious honestly. West will be the started and goal line goal no matter what so Henderson would need to really shine to move past CJ and Booker right?

If I drafted Leveon I'd definitely cuff him with Conner, but I could also see them signing Deangelo back off the street if Leveon was actually going to miss an extended period of time.

Deangelo is still in great shape supposedly and is fine holding out for the right opportunity, and I think he'd jump at the chance to come back to Pitt.

Conner would probably start still, but not sure you can count on him getting the Leveon treatment, which is what you expect if you're using a roster spot on a pure handcuff.

This is the closest to what I'd post.

for me,

#1 has to be Tevin Coleman. He puts up draftable numbers even as a backup, and I think if you own Freeman, this kid would be the best handcuff.

#2 has to Be Henry. he's behind a very good O line, and if you have Demarco Murray you SHOULD get this guy to be your #3 or #4 RB.

#3 has to be Hunt. He is a rookie, but with a very good chance to become the starter.

#4 has to be Mack. He's backing up a 34 year old starter. How can he not be on this list?

#5 has to be McCaffrey He is backing up the 30 year old Jonathan Stewart, a player who has been somewhat injury prone over the course of his career. Now that he's in his 30's I think its just a matter of time until the starting role becomes McCaffrey's

I personally handcuff my studs, but I also know that not many others in my league do, so what I do now is with my last roster spot, is pick up the best handcuff in every slate of games, and just hope I get lucky.

So when waivers open Tues, I grab the Thurs night handcuff as a FA. (Don't waiver claim, just as FA)

If no injury, then drop him for the best in the Noon Sun games.

If no injury, then drop him for the best in the 3 PM Sun slot.

And so on.

Obviously this only works in a league that doesn't cap transactions, and which requires you to be active on Sundays, but it's worked every of the past 3 years since I started trying it.

Plus even though its painfully obvious what I'm doing, none of the other owners seem to care or want to jump in and beat me to the punch.

Last year this got me Jordan Howard, the year before it got me Buck Allen heading into the playoffs.

It only has to hit once in all the tries, for it to pay off.

I will say it again... McCaffrey is not a handcuff...not even close.

How can a guy being drafted in the 3rd be the handcuff to a guy being drafted in the 9th?

C'mon man!

You are right hes not a handcuff but his value is hurt tremedous because Stewart will get much of the 1st and 2nd down work.

... obviously not tremendously - 3rd round pick.

JStew ain't scaring anyone. You're assuming McCaffrey's roll is only on 3rd down?
