Law 220 Posted October 22, 2018 Someone did in one of my leagues and I spend budget to pick them. Regretting that. I played them against Dallas and got burned big time. Played them again against Houston and another disappointment. Now they get Philly then a bye and then the Colts and Steelers. That means I won't use them 4 weeks. I don't have the roster space to keep them. Would like them against Buffalo W12 but can't hold for that. They become a streaming option. Not much more. That blew up in my face Even if they did pan out, it wasn't smart to keep them anyway. Kickers, defenses, QB's, TE's, are never a value for keepers unless you have to start more than one... or you got a stud (at TE only), the year he broke out and got someone like Kelce or Ertz for like $5 or something like that. jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 22, 2018 weird season for defenses. offensive output is so high it's been hard to get a consistent defense. The Jags were pretty much consensus #1 DST and they've been putrid for 3 weeks. You can't even blame the offense/Bortles for the sh!tshow against the Cowboys last week, because the defense still got shredded. Preseason top 3 looked like Jags, Eagles and Vikings and none of those are even in the top 5 currently in FF scoring. Ray_T 587 Posted October 22, 2018 This is no different than last year. bottom line: when playing against a top Defense you wanna sit this defense because they will give up points due to the offense turning the ball over. Not the fault of the defense, but that's the way it will go. for this reason I would say that this is a defense that is generally better than what fantasy scores tell us.
