Should I try and make a trade? Please help! WHIR

Recommended Posts

ESPN Standard Scoring league with PPR. I am an awful 2-4. I feel I am in desperate need of a RB since I lost Dalvin Cook for the year and because Isaiah Crowell didn't pan out. I'm in talks with two teams that are open to making a possible trade but can you help me come up with something, or if I even should try making a trade of some sort? If so...do you agree I should go after a RB? We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 DEF, 1 K

My team:

Tyrod Taylor

Marshawn Lynch

Buck Allen

Devante Parker

Devin Funchess

Mike Evans

AJ Green

Austin Sefarian Jenkins

Vikings DEF

Graham Gano

Jordan Reed

Jameis Winston

Will Fuller

LeGarrette Blount

Darren McFadden

Orleans Darkwa

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team #1 who is 4-2 (Said he would trade Chris Thompson & Michael Thomas for AJ Green & Jordan Reed or ASJ OR he would do McCaffrey straight up for Evans). His team:

Marcus Mariota

Christian McCaffrey

Chris Thompson

Demarco Murray

CJ Anderson

Michael Thomas

Nelson Agholor

Austin Hooper

Ravens DEF

Dan Bailey

DeAndre Hopkins

Jamison Crowder

Tarik Cohen

Duke Johnson

Dak Prescott

Mike Gillislee

Team #2 who is 4-2 (Hasn't proposed a trade but is willing to part he said with an RB)

Kirk Cousins

Leveon Bell

Mark Ingram

Dez Bryant

Alvin Kamara

Devante Adams

Pierre Garcon

Rob Gronkowski

Broncos DEF

Stephen Gostkowski

Sammy Watkins

Cam Newton

Zach Ertz

Shane Vereen

Lions DEF

Marvin Jones Jr.

So Team #1 said he would do either 1. McCaffrey for Evans? 2. Or Thompson for Reed ? 3. Or Thomas and Thompson for Evans and Reed.

Should I do one of these?

I like Mike Evans too much to give him up for McCaffery. Is Thompson really a great addition to your RB squad? Darkwa or Blount you could potentially start right?

Exactly Reed has a bad foot. You have ASJ anyway.

I don't know why anyone is even bothering to give out other options. It's a current RB1 for a nearly droppable player, what kinda deal do you want?

Update: He said he would do McCaffrey and Thomas for Evans, Blount and Reed. So should I do that or just stick with Thompson for Reed?

Thompson for Reed. Evans has a soft second half schedule and has already produced against top CB's to start the season.

I forgot about Rob Kelley...so should I be worried about trying to acquire Chris Thompson? I noticed in a game when Kelley was active, Thompson only had like 1.7 fantasy points? And I saw Kelley is coming back from an ankle injury?

I wouldn't be too worried. They play vastly different roles, and Thompson has had plenty of valuable games with a healthy fat Rob. Perine and Rob will battle for the bruiser role, and Thompson will be the passing down and will have around 10 carries a game. Thompson would own this backfield out right, but Gruden limits his touches to keep him healthy.

I don't think Thompson is going to be a stud RB 1 all year, but he will be a solid play most weeks, with a chance at a few big games, and you aren't giving up a huge cog in your lineup. I think the move has very little risk. Giving up Evans or Green is a massive move, and you haven't presented a deal that would make me want to take that risk.

Thanks man. Well if you can think of a deal to present with Evans or Green involved to present to someone, let me know? Or else I'll just stay with Thompson for Reed if this guy still will go through with it.
