Pick up TJ Yeldon?

Recommended Posts

First asking how valuable you think TJ Yeldon is to roster this season?

Second do you think I should pick him up and who should I drop?

Standard scoring / 10 man

Starting roster: Rivers, DJ, Mixon, Henry, AB, Hogan, Watson

Bench: Breida, Aaron Jones, Morris, Benjamin, Stills, Nelson, Watkins, Jonni Smith

Thanks and good luck this week. I need it as I went up against AJ Green.

Drop benji.

Gonna stream tight end since I lost Walker. Think he is the best TE play from what I could get off waiver. If I didnt have to play Watson I would definitely do that.

I think that Buffalo will have a tough time doing anything this season.

So I think K Benji would be the one to let go.

I wouldn’t.

Fournette should be back after this week I would think, since he’s a game time decision right now.

Hell yeah Yeldon. Fournette cannot stay healthy. You can even trade him to the Fournette owner for more than Morris is worth. Woohoo!!

Would you drop Alfred Morris for him?

My backs are Hunt, Miller, Dion Lewis, Burkhead, Morris

Morris has more going for him right now. If you can afford to dump a WR or TE that doesnt have much going for them I think Yeldon has the potential to be a solid RB2 if Fournette was ever to end his season.

I think he's worth picking up

Fournette is an absolute stud and Yeldon is no threat to him when he can play.

However, Fournette seems to be a lock to miss 2-4 games or so a season. When he does Yeldon immediately jumps into a solid RB2 spot.

Most other weeks he is going to put flex numbers or close to it.

He's worth keeping on the end of your bench for a potential boost to your line up any given week.

Hmm, so it basically comes down to Morris or Yeldon. That's a quandary. Give me Morris by a hair. Yeldon with Fournette is insignificant. At least Morris can get a few points with a healthy Breida. And Breida isnt known to stay healthy.

Just my thoughts, good luck

Fournette doesn't stay healthy that much either. and if he goes down, does Morris take over the backfield?

I don't think getting a couple points from an RB is worthy of playing him, so they are both screwed if the other guy in the backfield is healthy. Yeldon has more upside in case of injury. And, Fournette just happens to be injured now.

That's why ff is ALL luck! Lol. I agree that yeldon is the higher upside if Fournette is out for 2+ weeks. But Morris is still the safer play if you need a rb4 through the bye weeks

I would suggest it is not all luck because if it was, why would we all be on this site and talking about these things?

In FF you have to measure risk/reward in the end while managing other positions. I would actually say, that although fantasy football has bad luck, just like the real NFL does, it is very skill oriented in the managing of a team through a full season if the league has any complexity to it at all. Keeper leagues, contract leagues, auctions, blind bidding of the waiver wire, trades, matchups, player injuries, etc.... Usually those who lose consistently are lazy through the season, or don't do their homework prior to the draft. The top 20 in the draft are usually similar in consensus, but the rest of the draft is what makes a team have a great starting point or not.

Anyway, those are my thoughts is all.

You could look at it this way,

Fournette is Arian Foster

Yeldon is Ben Tate,

The situation it very similar
