BostonRedSox 0 Posted June 11, 2006 I am in a 12 team league where we redraft every year. A few of us are interested in making it a keeper league. We'll need at least 7 votes to change it. What kind of keeper rules do you some of you play with? Been searching the net for ideas and then stumbled across this board. Hoped you might share. We have 12 teams with 17 rounds and start: QB RB RB WR WR TE flex DEF K Pretty standard scoring for yardage with 6pts for all touchdowns and 1 point for a reception. What do you liek or dislike about keeper leagues? Thaks for your input. BoSox
Wildman 0 Posted June 12, 2006 BoSox...welcome to the FFToday board. We're a pretty good group of guys to bounce stuff off so I also encourage use of the FFToday Board as well. I play more in dynasty leagues rather than keepers, but several of the questions you'll see on the pinned section of this board and the rest of the help board often detail a lot about other's keeper rules. Here's some I know of: Keepers ranging anywhere from 3-7 players. Some require you forfeit a draft pick the following year commensurate to the round you originally selected that player. For instance if you picked Antonio Gates in round 5 last year, then this year you lose a 5th round pick if you keep him. Some keepers allow you to keep a player for longer than a year. Some make you pay compensation in higher draft picks for every year you keep a player. There's a whole range of ways you can do it. Good luck!
