What about Dream Theater covering entire Master of Puppets ??

LeBrie sucks too bad as a singer to include it. At least he can fumble his way through pink floyd and only make your ears hurt a few times.

Give that band Geoff Tate, dammit

Although, I'm not exactly a fan of the original. :dunno:

I thought FFDP's first album was very very good. Angry. Aggressive. Loud. In your face. I thought their second album (the one this song is on) lost all its edge and was horrible. I couldnt even finish listening to their third album. Considering how much i liked their first album, and the long histories that most of the band has in big time metal bands, i found their rapid decent astonishing.

Damn good voice, tho. Dolly Parton cover?

Yeah. Parton wrote Jolene too.

eta: :D

Parton has said that the inspiration for the song was a tall, red-headed bank teller who Parton believed was flirting with her husband, and her husband's apparent vulnerability to the teller's charm as indicated by his sudden interest in making frequent trips to the bank. In her live performances of the song, Dolly often states she fought this woman tooth and nail for her husband. The name "Jolene" came from a beautiful little red-headed girl with green eyes who sought her autograph at a concert.

“ I said, 'what is your name?' And she said, 'Jolene.' And I said, 'well, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.' I said, 'that is pretty,' I said, 'that sounds like a song. I'm going to write a song about that.'

There's some stuff I don't like about this song (esp. the "you lost a son once too..." part) but if you like her voice, you'll probably dig it. She's an Aussie.
