Panic selling on Kamara

Recommended Posts

Guy in my league is trying to move him after last night. Are you buying. Are you selling.

I don’t have him anywhere but I’m interested in his movement this week. I’m sure game script will change week to week but it’s impossible to say he has anywhere near the same upside he’s had this season anymore. Last year he had impossible to duplicate efficiency. He will get his, but sometimes he won’t. That’s a far cry from what owners have leaned on so far.

Depending on price I would buy too (more on that)...

I've been saying that I expect Kamara's production to slow down once Ingram back and just makes sense from a NFL standpoint. Keep them both sharing and hopefully healthy thru season. WTS, Kamara proved could share the load and still be a stud last year (Ingram to a degree as well), so even sharing he'll still be very good over long haul, just not ridiculous level he's done so far And that's the problem.

Those willing to unload him, even conceding they are doing so b/c of potential lesser production are likely still going to want a king's ransom for him: 'I'm trading him b/c he's not going to be quite the stud. But I still want a stud in return!'

I'd be curious what buyers would offer and what sellers are expecting.

Sellers are expecting an RB1 in return, at very least. Buyers are prob offering RB2 and a flex.

Ingram looked good. And there are a lot of mouths to feed in N.O. Even Thomas is going to be up and down each week. I'm worried about him on my team actually.

If Ingram was just a bruiser it wouldn’t be that bad but he’s one of the best pass catching RB in the league along with Kamara. I wouldn’t say I’m worried about Thomas, but he’s def not the monster he was before, same as Kamara. I’d still call him a top shelf WR1 in ppr.

As a potential buyer in a PPR league, I would likely be looking to offer Mixon and a low end WR 2 to upgrade the Kamara manager's WR 3 in exchange for Kamara. If the Kamara manager is truly worried about his touches/efficiency going forward I think that would be a good enough offer to negotiate around.

Not sure what you mean by 'not the monster he was before'. I mean, he had 40 targets the first 3 games, which is a completely unsustainable pace of 210 targets/year.

That being said, even in an offense that ran historically well last year, he still was targeted 149 times. Not to worry with Thomas.

was thinking of offering Leveon Bell + a reciever (like dede westbrooke quality) for Kamara. However, im 5-0 in my league, so I am not sure if I shouldn't just wait it out in hopes of a homerun with leveon.

I think they just gave Kamara a break last night. Ingram had fresh legs, going into the bye week, Kamara just had a 4 game stretch of being the lone back. I think they will come out of the bye and do what they did last year.

Id be selling too. Taysom Hill adds to the Ingram vultures. Its a nightmare.

So is the panic that Ingram is gonna vulture all the Goal Line carries?

Got an offer today I think I'll take in a 1 pt ppr league. I give AK, Lockett, & Brate for Howard, AB, & Ebron. I like it. Anyone else like it or not like it?

Ingram is gonna vulture a little bit of everything. Hill is also an issue now. They love him.

.

this is basically what is happening in my league. Guy wants to move him but he wanted top dollar for him. In that timeshare I am not willing to pay top dollar.

He does everything. Ingram is an early down pounder as well as one of the best pass catching RBs in the league. Kamara is both as well. Its just who they choose to put in there.

Yes. 1 pt ppr. Pull the trigger? Other RB's are Hyde & Collins though

Yeah sorry I didn’t see where you typed ppr.

I would also do it.

Ingram should be what he was last season, plus Brees as more weapons at the wr postion.

buy its early to panic, he had huge number of touches in 4 weeks and had a bit of a banged up shoulder, anyone with half a brain knew he wasnt getting many touches last week unless the saints went down big

saints went up big and baically kept him out the game to rest and knowing they have a bye this week gives him time to recover its back to what it was last season after the bye, which produced good numbers for both

I would buy him if anyone is dumb enough to sell him. You could see that coming a mile away. He was on injury for a knee. He had a huge workload in first 4 weeks, Ingram was back and the next week was a bye. He barely got any touches in a game they led in the entire time. Why wouldnt you let your stud RB rest a bit. He now has 10+ days to rest and get right. Last year he killed it with the same amount of touches hes going to get going forward plus most of goal line looks. You wanna know what its gonna look like? Its gonna look like it did from about week 12-13 on when they started working him in more than Ingram. Buy him if anyone is gonna sell him

Im actually trying to sell on Ingrams big week (have both Kamara and Ingram)

Got two trades out right now... Ingram and Burton for Kelce and Crowell. Ingram and Burton for Ertz and Yeldon (I have Fournette).

Hill's definitely becoming an issue for Kamara and Ingram. Payton's turning him into a Tim Tebow clone.

Even so, Kamara and Ingram will continue to feast.

i would definitely buy...after 1 sub par performance? heck yeah

this is different. it wasn't a sub par performance, its because Ingram came back and out-touched him...got all the goaline work. it was very strange tbh

I don't think it's vulturing, I just think he is really good at it and one of their best options.

Not even so. Its a real problem. Hill throws a massive wrench in the fantasy futures of players. He even screws Brees over. Id be shopping Saints RBs.

Agreed. This offense now becomes extremely unpredictable. Id say its become a mess and its time to legitimately panic. Hill is the main reason to push the panic button. Hes fantasy chaos. Payton loves the Hill gimmick. Its not going away.

Hill is about to get rocked and that gimmick will be out soon. He literally keeps it 100% of the time on the read option. They are gonna start lighting him up coming out of the bye

Maybe the Kelce trade. Not the Yeldon trade. I think AK and Ingram in the flex is a line up that has a great ceiling and floor.

He came back with JuJu in place of AB. I'm still considering doing the trade. Hill throws another wrinkle into Kamara's usage now as well Ingram. Howard's schedule with the Bears lightens up and I still think they only used Cohen so much against TB because they were blowing them out. I think as it gets colder and they want to play ball control more that Howard will start to thrive again. Would you or anyone on here do this trade or stand pat with Kamara. I've got Hilton and Cooks both hurt so I could use the WR help but I wonder if this is selling Kamara too low or a good offer. Will Ebron continue to be solid even when Doyle comes back or should I take Burton instead in the deal if I do it. Kamara will regress in my mind quite a bit from last years crazy TD rate.

Brees/Kamara/Ingram owners hope you are right. Also think the coach won't look so cute when his missed 2 pt conversions or goal line attempts fail in critical spots. You don't look like such a genius when your HOF QB is standing on the sidelines when you fail to convert those.

Dude, this is a common term for FF, you know this? It has been for years. When you have a bruiser back who gets all the goal line carries, and a faster more explosive back who gets all the yards between the 10-yard lines.

Nobody is disagreeing with you. Sure maybe Ingram isn't strictly a goal-line vulture, he's getting some work on other downs as well.

Still sucks for Kamara owners.

I wouldn't sell him just yet but you had to have known this would happen when Ingram got back,

Kamara is way too good of a player to not get the ball a lot, He'll still be an RB1

Nobody could know Hill would get so much run. All three now in the red zone mix. Sell high.

Added bonus. You dont eat their bye week.

I think you are a bit paranoid about Hill, hes a few plays a game gadget guy. Good teams like the saints give you lots of red zone opportunities, thats how they could support two top 10 guys last season. Yet to be seen if they can again, but Hill taking a few plays a game isnt a big worry.
