    Is C. Perry Becoming Startable?

I'm giving Perry his first start this week as my #3 RB over Grant this week. Hopefully I won't get burned.
  2. SundayTouchDowns

    Selvin Young

I drafted him as a #3 or 4 RB along w/ LenDale, also drafted Perry late. Traded him a week before the season for Roddy White to be my #3WR. Think I won that one.

Is It Time To Trade Rivers....

Traded Rivers for Portis today. I have Rodgers and Warner and the other guy had Barber, Addai, and his man crush Chris Johnson, but had crap for QBs. I really like Rivers, would've preferred to trade Rodgers but he wouldn't bite. I think this could be Rivers break out year: Chris Chambers is in his first full year in the system allowing Jackson to slide over to the #2 WR where he belongs. and it's his 2nd year under Norv's tutelage (say what you want, the man can coach QBs and call a good game). You can probably get more for Manning on name recognition alone and you'll still have a very productive QB.

*** OFFICIAL Week 2 Game Ball Thread ***

While I could easily give my game ball to Rodgers or Wayne, I gotta go with the Packers D, 22 points was above and beyond the call of duty. Also I gotta give myself a gameball for actually making a right call by starting Brandon Jackson over Ryan Grant.

    Rodgers, Warner, or Rivers

So I have all 3 of these guys and am looking to make trade. Is Rodgers a fluke or is it just a matter of time before he gets hurt. Will Warner remember he's 37 and start fumbling the ball when a DE sneezes on him? Will the Chargers realize that LT is supposed to get all the TDs? How do you guys see their seasons panning out both stat wise and health wise? Maybe I should just be grateful for the depth and play the matchups.

    Ladanian Tomlinson Should Be LT2!

I must refute your assertion that LaBrandon Toefield is LT2, I question your intelligence and challenge your manhood. Toefield, in a sad comment on his career, has never been more relevant than Lawrence Tynes...a kicker. Poor LaBrandon.

    Ladanian Tomlinson Should Be LT2!

Lawrence Taylor is no longer relevant and is too busy doing coke off hookers' a$$e$ to care who's being called what. LT = LaDanian Tomlinson LT2 = Lawrence Tynes

    Sneaky Week 2 Play

I'm strongly considering playing Jackson as my flex w/ Grant and Turner starting. Perry has a horrible matchup and LenDale White is splitting carries. Basically it's a toss up between White and Jackson. The way I see it, if they can combine for 120 rush 40 rec and 2TDs thats solid production from a starting RB and flex spot.

    Ryan Grant practices

I just saw this, now I'm having second thoughts... TheHuddle) The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Green Bay Packers RB Brandon Jackson is expected to see a lot of playing time during Week 1. Analysis: Ryan Grant has returned to practice, but it appears that Jackson will be getting the bulk of the carries this week. As stated here earlier, Jackson is a great pickup and start this week. (Article Link) Everything I've heard and read all pointed to Grant being ready to go, now this.

    Just traded

While I like Young's chances, my WR situation would be perilous if CJ went down. Besides it looks like Young is losing goaline carries and who knows what will happen when Torrain comes back. You may have a point dropping Meachem over Jackson, there's no way I'd drop Betts over Jackson. Betts has proven he can produce if Portis goes down while Jackson has only proven that he can lose his job to a player traded during training camp. The only RBs of note that are available are Chris Taylor, Andre Hall, Pierre Thomas, Dunn, and Lamont Jordan.

    Just traded

Just traded Selvin Young for Roddy White. I was pretty thin at WR (CJ injury didn't help) and had decent depth at RB while the guy I traded with was going to start Thomas Jones and Hightower (he decided to sit Julius Jones). My team: QB:Rivers Rodgers RB:Grant Turner Perry White Betts B.Jackson WR:Wayne Ocho Cinco White Burleson Meachem RB/WR:Perry TE: Gonzo K:Prater DEF:Packers I think I did alright improving my WR depth and covering myself in case CJ can't go. I should prob drop Jackson and pickup Andre Hall. What do you think? Good trade or should I have offered a different RB.

    Ryan Grant

Breaking News: Ryan Grant will not get 100% of the carries for the Packers this season. Backups Brandon Jackson, Vernand Morency, and DeShawn Wynn will spell Grant from time to time during the season. Analysis: With McCarthy saying he wants to limit Grant's carries to only 20/game and get him more involved in the passing game, this has all the makings of a RBBC so adjust accordingly.

    Chris Johnson

I'm not sure what all the hate on LenDale is about. Is it the USC hate? Did he burn fantasy owners who expected big things from him as a rookie? Hopefully it's not cuz he showed up to his first camp out of shape. He wasn't the first, nor will he be the last NFL player to commit that sin. I have LenDale on my team and know exactly what I'm getting. He's a #4 RB who's gonna get between 280-310 carries, perfect bye week filler, trade fodder to an injury ravaged team, or (knock on wood) an emergency starting RB in case my team gets hit w/ injuries. Vince Young will never be a 3500yd 25TD QB. Personally, I don't think he'll ever throw for 3200 yards in a season. The Titans know that if they want to win with VY they need to be able to rush 35-40 times a game. To do this you need two quality RBs. They saw how effective White was when paired with a lightning type RB and drafted him with the intention of drafting another RB in the future to pair with him. Better to use a high round pick on a RB than a WR who would just be wasted on VY. They missed on Henry last year so they got CJ this year. Now they have the thunder/lightning combo they wanted and will split the carries according to the gameplan. Projections: White 290rush 1092yds 20rec 110yd 10td Johnson 160rush 768yds 56rec 420yd 5td Combined 2390 total yds 76 rec 15td=405 FP(ppr) or 25.31FP/gm or 12.65fp/gm for each RB Now if you believe in those numbers, here's an interesting question. If you're in a PPR league with a flex position, do you draft a stud RB than go some combo of WR-QB-WR to get two top end WRs and a top five QB knowing that you can get White and CJ w/ your 5th and 7th round picks and guarantee yourself the production of the Tennessee running game no matter what the split between CJ and White is for the week?

    Ryan Grant

This post is completely misleading. Here's the actual story: http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=787742 At no point does McCarthy say he wants a RBBC. He talks of limiting Ryan Grants carries to 20/game as opposed to 30 and getting him more touches in the passing game. Sounds like he might be more valuable in ppr leagues than previously thought. 320 carries is not a RBBC. Very poor post sir, very poor indeed.
