MiLB to begin extra innings with a runner on 2nd

Recommended Posts

Did he say that?

Nope. Never said that. Never implied that either. Vudu is just doing his usual where he goes full retard cause he was an uncool, unatheltic kid so he wants everyone else to be. Last time I threw in front of a gun I hit 88. Never got above that. So yes I have velocity just not anywhere near what Id need to be a pitcher in the majors

Which part?

He posted the velocity contradiction above in this thread.

He claimed he scored something like 34 of 36 on the ACT awhile back.

I think 88 would be decent velocity for a college pitcher, especially D2 or 3.

An average MLB fastball is probably around 92.

They're clearly testing the waters with this - see how it goes.. Which means they're already considering doing it on the big boy stage.

You said you had "the" velocity. That's an implication , no, a statement of fact, right there.

Consistently yes. However, I didnt consistently throw 88. More like 85-86. As I said I didnt pitch in college. I played 2nd. Try and keep up. Stop acting like a retard and maybe people will like you

We get it, just stop.

You are a dime a dozen son. You had a decent little HS career and got recruited a little bit by a D3 school and one random D2 school. You can say you were a D2 recruit now. :) Then, your HS coach called the local scout from the short season rookie league and you got a token tryout. Ran the bases, threw from second, even lit up the radar gun at 88.....but you are a dime a dozen.

Nope. Sorry bud. Played D2. Had some chances to play D1 but ride the bench for 2-3 years before playing as a junior/senior. Decided to play D2. Stopped playing and joined the military. Got the pics to prove it. Even my signing pic. But then idiots here would think its photoshopped when that wasnt around back then

Must have been a hard decision on whether to be a MLB pitcher, para-rescue medic or physician. I can relate. I had the dong to do porn but construction marketing was my calling. :dunno:

Also, the biggest factor of where I went to play was my ex. She was going to the school I chose. So she naturally wanted me to go as well. Even started crying so I caved and went. Really, was gonna go to USC Sakahatchie (sp?) to play for 2 years then transfer to USC Columbia but she talked me out of it. My buddy who went to play for the JUCO that was in the same town as my D2 school was gonna go with me to USC Sak but since I chose the other one he chose the same city. Played against a guy from Carolina Forest who was gonna go wherever I went as well since he knew me. He followed me to the D2 school and when I stopped playing he transferred to Coastal Carolina.

Nah. Never was going pro. Even as a 2nd baseman I wouldnt have made it out of the minors. I know that.

Even as a second basemen you NEVER made it the minors. It's not like you decided against doing it. You NEVER had the opportunity because you are a dime a dozen. Now you get it?

This threads sorta topical in that I run across a lot of guys and girls who are involved in youth sports who claim to have played baseball or softball in college. Then when Ive seen some of them throw or swing, it just doesnt seem likely. It makes me question the level of competition wherever they played.

If anything, most probably tried out for their D3 or JUCO team, and maybe made the team, but didnt play much.

Anyone who would complain about Minor League extra inning rules needs a reality check. This is inevitable in MLB.

9 inning games are too long as it is now.

Starting pitchers only go 6 innings tops, games should be 7 innings.

He was probably decent on his HS team. Road the backs of other better players so he has the "experience"....just not the skill.

Also, my HS coach was a scout for the Royals. The lowest level of scout, but non the less Coach had a Royal's jacket and gun. He held a tryout in the local area every year, some of the "has beens" would show up with focking wrist bands and softball mitts and get to tell people they tried out for the Royals. It was a joke looking back, but as a youth, I can see where one might think they were special.

TV/Commercials isn't changing.

Specialized pitchers isn't changing

posing hitters/pitchers can change and the current rules should be enforced

Dumbest thing ever. Relief pitcher throws 50 pitches in the bullpen, getting ready to come in, throws every pitch from the same mound height he will stand on when he enters the game.

Enters the game and gets 2 minutes to throw warm up pitches DA FUQ :wall:

When taking their position at the beginning of an inning or when relieving another pitcher, pitchers are permitted to throw as many warmup pitches as they want within the countdown parameters set forth by Major League Baseball.
The time between innings and pitching changes is 2 minutes, 5 seconds for local broadcasts, 2 minutes, 25 seconds for nationally televised games and 2 minutes, 55 seconds for tiebreaker and postseason games. The umpire's signal for the final warmup pitch comes at the 25-second mark and the pitcher must throw it before the clock hits 20. The batter will be announced at the 20-second mark and the pitcher must begin his windup to throw the first pitch of the inning within the five seconds before the clock hits zero.

WHY??????????????

Second basemen. #5. Thank you for playing. Next time when you have something to backup your claims its nice to have evidence (which I post quite often but no one else does). Its quite nice slapping some of you around (Vudu, shotsy, Slonut, AD)

Nailed it.

Im fine with this, but you are 30yrs old so in 2006 you graduated HS. No one is saying you didnt play any ball. But why the comment of photoshop not being around back then? Thats just an odd comment when back then means 2006 and onwards.

Cause there are idiots among us who would prob claim it. I thought I had my signing day picture on fb but I guess I dont. Have the newspaper photo at my parents so I would have to take a picture of that but happened to search and found this real fast. Made it easier. Ive also backed up most of what I say with stuff. A lot more than anyone else here. So Im pretty sure what I say is fact

Oh and AD FMU is a D2 school HTH

I know it is. Low totem pole D2 but hey, it's D2.

And 5th in the state ranked by a prospect program that just started in the year 2006 isn't worth the brag. Sorry.

I take your word for it and you sh1t all over the place when I talk about mine. Shows how classlessness you are but whatever. I backed up my statement
