This last part is your biggest mistake. Everybody wants to treat this like it's an injury. But you conveniently ignore the incubation period and contagiousness. Close contacts have to stay quarantined even if they don't have it and test negative. You never know when you're going to get it. It's our collective inability to do this that is reason we're in this situation in the way no other first world country is.
