Trade Offers have been made to you biatches.

Recommended Posts

I've made offers to more than 2 and less than 6 of you. They tend to involve the same players, so just an FYI. Click "accept" as fast as you can.

Those picks suck. But if you are looking to move one of them, I'll throw you an offer. Why not, eh?

While I do appreciate the offer, I don't appreciate you offering me a guy that will be losing touches and his job soon.

I have enough of them already

  • The Blood Bombs gave up Ellington, Andre ARI RB; Year 2015 Draft Pick 2.12; Year 2016 Round 3 Draft Pick from The Blood Bombs
  • KuTuLu gave up Eifert, Tyler CIN TE; Year 2015 Draft Pick 1.08; Year 2016 Round 2 Draft Pick from KuTuLu

I obviously decided to sell on Ellington. Relatively speaking, I'm deep at RB, and he was the starting caliber RB I valued the least.

Whereas I needed to reload at Tight End with an eye towards the future. I don't know if Eifert will become elite, but he was the undervalued young guy I saw with the potential to do so. Throw in some improved draft picks, and I like the deal. It's risky though.

Kunt might be the biggest dummy in the league accepting that trade. How did I get hooked up with this moron?

4th and 9 Inches give

Graham, Jimmy SEA TE

To The Blood Bombs for

Eifert, Tyler CIN TE

Year 2015 Draft Pick 1.08

Strange sequence of events....

- This morning I made 3 offers, attempting to move Andre Ellington for a tight end. I was looking at ways to get Graham from Pat, but didn't have a feel for his value and never contacted Pat.

- Then the kunts give trade me Eifert and picks for Ellington, and I think I'm solid.

- Fast forward to this post from Pat and me thinking "Fock. Maybe I should have worked on a Graham package."

I don't have access to mfl at work and its a pain to deal with on my phone. Looking to maybe get a pick in the mid first round if the player I want is available. If anyone wants to throw an offer out there I am listening. I will also look at the site tonight to see if I can find a counterparty that a deal works for. Off the top of my head I have a couple TEs that aren't bad.

- Then fast forward a few minutes ago. Pat offers me Graham for Eifert and 1.08. I hesitated for a minute, but had to accept.

So in total, I give up Ellington, 2.12, and a 2016 3rd.......for Jimmy Graham and a 2016 2nd rounder. Feels like a win.

As for Graham......Obviously I know the odds are against him doing what he did in Nawlins. But I also see Russel Wilson as the type of QB that will rely heavily on a Tight End. I guess whereas in NO I saw Graham as the lock 1A tight end, I now view him as a lock top 5 TE for the next 3 years, as he is still only 28 years old.

I'm basically looking at a 3 year window at the moment. In 3 years:

  • Aaron Rodgers will be 34.
  • Megatron will be 32
  • AJ Green will be 29
  • Brandon Marshall will be 34
  • Jimmy Graham will be 31.
  • Jamaal Charles will be 31
  • DeMarco Murray will be 30

Obviously RB's are iffy at that age, but I've got a handful of younger prospects in Ingram, Kniles Davis, Crowell, Randle, etc. I like the balance I'm striking.

Happy to see the league activity pick back up again.

It's starting to smell like Football season!

PS. Brandon Marshall is done. He was done when I traded him to you for what ended up being Jeremy Hill and Kelvin Benjamin.

It's fun to look at mega trades in hindsight. As far as I can tell, Jeremy Hill is unrelated. Thus far, that one ended up being:

I get: Brandon Marshall, Phillip Rivers, Isaiah Crowell, 2.06 this year.

You get: Michael Crabtree, Alex Smith, Eric Ebron, Kelvin Benjamin, 2.10 this year.

Then when you consider that I had lost Rodgers and Blackmon, and Rivers and Marshall helped me win the title....I won. You lost. Duh.

I hated trading Graham, but I would rather be a year early trading him than a year late. I figured if CBF traded for Eifert that he must be good and hopefully get a decent piece at 1.08. I have an adequate replacement for Graham on my bench in bennett.

My team is starting the rebuild/reload and you gotta give up something to get something.

As for the rebuild vs reload vs go all in decision, it's a delicate balance. I am in the dream situation where I am in total go for it mode with my starting lineup, yet am trying to reload via my second string.

If I were you, I wouldn't have traded Graham. It's hard to win this league without a stud QB and stud RB. Manning and Forte qualify, but for maybe 1-2 more years tops. After they are done, a true long term rebuild is likely. So I'd have stayed as strong as possible and tried to win a second title while they were relevant. But that's easy for me to say now. We will see if I'm as resolute when I'm facing the reality of having to actually be bad at some point.

Yeah, I am banking on a bit of a drop off from Graham and Bennett to be near what he was last year. I do see a full scale rebuild in the future though.

I could see the Graham dropoff. But my thinking is you could have started Graham or Bennett at the Flex over a James Jones/Frank Gore type and still be stronger week to week.

But your team has the heart of a champion that will make you a tough playoff out. The having of 4 games against Ed and Gary each season gives you've got some wiggle room to play with.

Hopefully Bell gets suspended 3 games so I at least have 1 decent player week 1

It doesn't really take that long to rebuild, if you do it right (aka, don't do what Gary did). You just need to commit to sucking and go all in.

I went from being a perennial Nasty Cup competitor, placing 2nd or 3rd in 4 of the first 5 years, to completely rebuilding in 2013. And If not for a couple unlucky circumstances with our playoff rules, I would have been back in the hunt one year later. With a young core (Wilson, Evans, Kelvin Benj, Julio, Hill, Ebron) I should be competitive for the foreseeable future.

Trading Jones for Welker was such a stupid move on my part. I don't know why I thought I'd have a chance. of course Welker got hurt

I agree with all of this except Eric Ebron. He is Brandon Pettigrew 2.0 with, if this is even believable, worse hands. He did nothing to improve this problem from college to year one in the nfl and there are no signs of him improving this yet.
