RB's - Freeman and Lindsay

Recommended Posts

Facing the worst run D in the league this week.

Anyone have the nads to fire em both up on Thursday night?

How smart of a move this would be, would of course depend on ones Rbs situation.

I have Lindsey and with my two best WR JJ and Adams on byes you bet he is in my lineup. As a matter of fact, I may have 3 RBs going this week.

Freeman will eventually assert himself as the lead back in the near future.

I would agree about Freeman being the rb1 on the Broncos.

Well, technically, it would depend on how well Freeman and Lindsay perform Thursday, irregardless of one's RB situation........

Will you asked if any one has the nads to fire them up.

Now the end result which is after the game will give us the final answer if it was worth it.

But for someone to have the nads to start both I think would depend on either if they need to or if they think its their best option.

Thanks.

don't we try to start the players we believe will score the most points? each owner has to weight their risk/reward.

Of course...but sometimes matchups dictate that one considers starting what they believe to be an inferior player over a generally better one, who has a tougher matchup......then watch it blow up in your face, of course.

No, you forgot the "blow up in your face part".

Quite important.

you need to assess your risk/reward. are looking for the consistent 10 pt performance, or the potential home run? you have to weigh your options and choose. there is always probability involved, and at the end of the day any of it could blow up. you could be starting alfred morris on a monday night where breida is not supposed to play much and alf on is in for 1 play. you can take a risk on albert wilson vs a very good chi defense and he can get you 30+ pts.

there is a standard deviation, and there will always be outliers.

Lindsay goes 190. There aren't too many RB's that weight who can handle a load all season.

I have Freeman in our auction league but have considered dropping him to use the money elsewhere. Do you guys really think he'll eventually take the #1 spot? The coach said 2 weeks ago that hes going to get more carries and he got 5 carries the next game to Lindsay's 12. Granted, they were down 21-10 at the half.

Last chance for RF. I'm out if he doesn't get it done. L Murray just tore up Arizona.

Barring a Lindsay injury, no.

in general, it appears that lindsey is outperforming freeman (plus he is used in the passing game), but I do not think den will stop using freeman.

Would you drop Ekeler, Ito, or Aaron Jones for Freeman?

i would not drop ekeler in ppr, ito still plays a role even with coleman and injured freeman (especially now on ir).

Jones is curious as he runs well, then gbp stop using him. seems as if they used him for full games he would be decent start/flex.

190 lb running backs don't last. Denver has to know this, so a time share shouid continue.

Don't tell Warrick Dunn......he might have made it 13 seasons instead of 12.

Well if we go back to the 1950's I'm sure we'll find some 150 pound ones too. Plus Allstot fornthe heavy lifting. And Pittman. And others.

Loved Alstott....but Dunn did have 64 TD's and at least 200 carries in 8 seasons.

Not saying that Lindsay will ever be a stud, but am saying that his size doesn't preclude the possibility.....as also proven by Ray Rice and Chris Johnson, who were also comparable in weight.

I haven’t seen enough of either one to say who’s the best rb on the Broncos.

It’s still a surprise that Lindsay has played so much.

Once Freeman over took Booker everything pointed towards him being the rb1.

Worked out......but Lindsay isn't going anywhere. He has something special. I'll continue to have to hold both, and start Lindsay each week in the flex.

Lindsay should get 90 percent of the snaps. this is the first time watching him play and he is clearly better than every rb on the broncos.

i missed out on picking up lindsay week 2

Maybe he will....just read that Freeman sustained an ankle injury tonight...severity unknown.

As an owner of both I dont mind this news, Lindsay about to take off.

Now if someone could get Williams in GB to miss a few games, signed A Jones owner

Lindsay is JAG and if Freeman is out next week he will get exposed as such.

This was my opinion after week one......but after watching him play the last few weeks, I disagree. I expect him to be a low RB1 while Freeman is out.

I don't know if he can handle 20+ carries but he is an explosive runner who is nowhere near a JAG. Freeman is closer to JAG status. Not a Lindsey owner either

Every time he touches the ball hes electric, thats not being JAG. Freeman is the very definition of JAG and has shown absolutely nothing special in the regular season.

HC now saying that Freeman is just day-to-day with the ankle.....so, perhaps not a high ankle after all.

From a FF standpoint, was actually hoping he would miss multiple weeks so I could move on, but as a Lindsay owner, I feel compelled to hold now.
