Dynasty Question

Ok, this is a contract/keeper league. I have a 3-year contract open, and am trying to decide whether to use it on D'Angelo Williams. My other option is to tuck Williams on my Developmental Players Squad, where I can hold onto him (for up to 3 seasons) until I can give him a longer contract. Problem is, I can't use him until next season if I do that. I have until tomorrow to decide. If I don't offer Williams the contract, my options are either Matt Jones or Antonio Bryant.

 

Current team:

 

Keepers: S. Alexander & C. Johnson

5-Year Contract: E. Manning

4-Year Contract: Roy Williams & R. Droughns

3-Year Contract: M. Harriso & ?

2-Year Contract: W. Parker, T. Heap, & D. Bledsoe

 

DPS (3 slots): E. Shelton, L. Pope, & ?

 

Players I have not under contract: M. Jones & A. Bryant

Tough call between Matt Jones and Williams, IMO. Bryant could excellent, too but a lot depends on the QB situation. I like the Jags situation a lot more than SF's.

 

I'd tuck away Williams because between Parker and Droughns you have your 2nd RB. I'd sign Matt Jones (more upside, IMO than Bryant) and keep Williams on your developmental squad. I know Foster might get hurt, but I think you need the WR depth more than RBs. Can you still keep Bryant this year or do you have to drop him?

Yes, I would have to drop Bryant. I would also have to drop Jones, unless I placed him back on the DPS instead of Williams.

Option three is the best one...drop Shelton keep the other three...no question! Knowing that's an option, it's a no-brainer.
