Food stamp rolls plummet

After the food stamp rolls swelled for years under the Obama administration, fresh figures show a dramatic reduction in states that recently have moved to restore work requirements.

States were allowed to waive those rules for able-bodied adults thanks to the 2009 economic stimulus. As the rules loosened and the economy sputtered out of the recession, food stamp enrollment soared to record levels peaking at nearly 48 million nationwide in 2013.

48 million. It's hard to believe that many people were actually incapable of feeding themselves in this country. What a bunch of BS. Nice job, Obama.

Putin has already laughed off the election tampering conspiracy theory.
Hopefully they can both share some laughs over those freaks running with that nut bag excuse for losing.

Of course he laughed it off. Did you expect him to admit it?  Trump has all the intelligence that he needs to go to Putin with proof and threaten sanctions if it's ever attempted again. But I guarantee he won't have the balls to even bring it up.

This is no longer even being investigated. It is an accepted fact.  The investigation is only to do with Trump's involvement (and his posse). But feel free to deny what's been proven and making yourself look even dumber than you always have.

Just so I understand, you think that Trump is unpresidential and has no tact, but you want him to confront Putin to his face when they meet? :dunno:

Yes.  I want him to show he's not afraid of actual confrontation.  Not the Twitter kind. Pretend Putin is Arnold Schwarzenegger or Alec Baldwin. Putin has been sh!tting all over Trump and our country.

Looks like food stamp use started to go up in 2007, peaked after the recession and started sharply declining last year:

Must be Obummer's fault though because those people love food stamps.

Interesting.  I saw a headline that implied McCain agrees with you.  Well, about bringing it up, not necessarily confrontational, but I didn't read the article.

Seems like there would be a time and place and protocol for such situations, but... :dunno:

So? They skyrocketed under Obama, and he did nothing to stop it. It was republican governers who finally reinstitufed the work for benefits program that made it go down. Obama just gave it away.

Foxconn to build $10B plant in Wisconsin employing up to 13,000

In what’s being called the largest economic development project in state history, Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn plans to build a $10 billion plant in Wisconsin that would create liquid-crystal display panels and employ as many as 13,000 people.

The plant — announced Wednesday at a White House ceremony by President Donald Trump, Walker and others — could be the first of several facilities the company wants to build in the United States.

problem is, Republicans spent seven years telling everybody how bad Obamacare was, and didn't come up with one idea about how to do it better. A bunch of clowns on that side of the aisle. This is a Monumental embarrassment for Trump.

The promise to revisit healthcare was one of the very few things I liked about Trump.  Of course the problem is it was never about trying to improve healthcare or the lot of average Americans.  It was just about being able to say they struck down something called "Obamacare", no matter how bad the alternative, and file that notch off the Dem's bedpost.
