Yeah, here's the thing. Now they keep slipping back to oh he was grooming her as early as 13! And he was having a relationship with the fifteen-year-old! But then you find out that they weren't actually having any kind of sex until 16 all the way to 24?

 

Yeah, turns out age of consent is 16 in Washington State. (And in their case it means consent to sex with any adult regardless of position. So to speak)

 

Not to mention, let's say that age of consent is 18. Just for giggles. That means for 6 years as an adult she continue the relationship. Oh gosh she must have been so horrified and sickened by those first two years that she... what?

 

And then, took yet another 4 years after relationship is over to say hey, those girls that were molested by Larry Nassar got paid how about me? Me too!

 

But ignoring the academic, the whole point is, she had sex by her own admission the whole time that it was legal to do so. No fcking case here.

 

If we start letting Shady lawyers start trying to weasel in anytime with a girl/boy as potential grooming time, that's a joke.

 

Enforce the laws as they are. Fine. Even then, it can be a scam. But don't go trying to shoehorn extra years and completely non-sexual behaviors into those laws.
