Think I'm going to revisit that.I tried to start watching one evening awhile back and just couldn't get into it.As much as I love gangster shows I owe it another try.I knocked out Narcos in one weekend another great Netflix original.

You know I did the same thing. Tried watching it once and didn't make it through the first episode. Gave it another shot and really glad I did. It gets really good pretty quickly.

Ya need a couple episodes to figure out what the fock they are saying but after your ear adjusts its pretty focking good. Couple of minor story line gripes with each season but overall very good.

Oh we had subtitles on for the whole thing! Haha... to hard to catch some of the subtle gutteral language. Plus my woman focking TALKS about the show as its playing

That 1st time you see them take off their caps and start slashing fools is pretty badass.

Four episodes in and really good but damn I think Tom Shelby has to be the biggest chain smoker I've ever seen.

I do have to rewind or use CC sometimes to understand what-the-fock they said... but it's a really good show - good, smart writing, good acting, believable characters, and a bit of historical fiction mixed in (WWI, Winston Churchill, etc).

And in the end, I'm a whisky loving, Guinnes drinking, Irish American that loves this stuff... the whole culture of the Irish, Gypsy, Italian, English (i.e. cops) gangs is pretty interesting to me.

This is one of the best series I have seen on Netflix. Anyone know if it is going to continue?

currently 4 seasons released? and season 5 (6 episodes) is already agreed on with BBC/Writers/Actors

when I started watching, I didn't know there was more than one season - thought it was new - JACKPOT! 5 seasons to keep me busy now that GoT is gone.

And so far, Season 2 is very good - maintaining the high bar - I hope it continues and maybe even gets better.

I see Littlefinger is on Season 4. For a terrible actor that guy sure gets some choice parts.

each faction's "boss" is a bit overdone with a unique, villain-esque, speech pattern or mannerism, etc.... and the main character (Tommy Shelby) is the only one who's a clean cut, good looking, plain speaking "everyman".

So if there's a flaw coming, it could be that it's Shelby vs The Joker, The Riddler, Penguin, The Jew, Littlefinger, The Gypsy, and Vito Corleone's uncle.

Another series I highly recommend is called "Hell on Wheels". Has to do with building the railroad going west - as well as a competing railroad being built from California east.

Very good. Stars Colm Meaney, Common and Ansen Mount.

i know this is an old thread but its a great show. Cillian Murphy needs to be in more things. Been a favorte of mine since 28 days later. The show also needs more Tom Hardy

Ditto. I think there were a couple of other series that I hadn't watched that caught my interest more than Peaky Blinders at that time. I just never got back to it. I also didn't find any of the characters all that compelling. But I have taken a second look at some series (Breaking Bad being one case) and all of a sudden loved them.
