the grammys ratings

Recommended Posts

Overnight ratings for the Grammys were down 21% YOY, as the metered markets drew a 12.7 HH vs last year's 16.0.

Wait. You mean people are less interested THIS year than they were LAST year about hearing "celebs" complain? Ya don't say. Hopefully it drops 50% next year.

Maybe it is down because music just sucks today...

I am betting it is because they INSIST on telling us what we should do and how we should act.

That sure doesn't help either...

What, no excuses from the left like there is for the NFL ratings going down? Same reason for both.

I really don't know. I don't watch it. Just something I read.

It seems to me that the ratings tend to closely correspond with the mainstream appeal of the heaviest nominees.

Last night's biggest nominees were: Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Bruno Mars.

Last year's biggest nominees were: Beyonce, Adele, Justin Bieber, Drake

We can blame politics if we want, but it's about the names.

Which set are bigger/better names?

That would require tuning in ahd watching the political vomitous sh*tshow whine-fest and clutching a barf bag. I don't know that anybody has the stomach for that.

I don't believe you.

But I'll just sum it up and say white people and teenagers both like Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Adele, and Bieber. White people and teenagers are far less likely to like Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, or Drake.

You should ask white teenage girls this question. Cause I suspect you are completely wrong on that.

They had Sting and U2 again representing the rock. Genre.

Its either them, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, or Coldplay every year. Old dudes or the same bland bands.

There is so much good music that the experts refuse to acknowledge during the show.

Yea it was all about the #metoo and times up movement. Wearing white roses, speeches about harassment, and performances about them were prevalent. Also, Hillary Clinton read the book Fire and Fury at the Grammys. At this point, the left is just shooting themselves in the foot and making themselves a laughing stock. And no I didnt watch but I saw the Facebook posts about it all last night

When I'm listing off girls that drive me crazy, obviously their hotness is what gets me to look at first. But it's little cute smiles and moments like this that end up driving me completely crazy for a girl. It's just a cute factor that hits me a certain way.

No. But that's just because I've shifted to a place in which the one time ride with anyone isn't as big a deal to me.

Now if I could actually give it a go with her for a year and see where it leads, I'd probably give up a year of golf. The feelings are real Cruzer. Very real.

Some reporter asked Elvis a political question and he said, "I'm just an entertainer." Focking celebs need to learn this. I love the ones that cry about social programs and then you find out they never filed a tax return. Oh we should pay for your cause, but not you? Fock you.

Could be due to politics etc.

May also be due to people just watching less network tv generally. I mean ratings are down across the board on everything since people are choosing to watch Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc instead and even cutting the cord altogether.

Also music sucks these days. Ive not even heard of half the acts they were promoting and the other half held no interest whatsoever. Im getting old but not THAT old yet :nono:

If folks want people to stop bitching about her, tell her to go away for real, forever. Seriously the most vile human on the face of the Earth.

Sing me a song and go away. Your out of touch, hypocritical opinions are not based in reality and you have no reason to think you have the merits to preach them to the public.

And the Pro Bowl.

Not that there's much demographic overlap between those 2 events and the Grammys.
