New respect for John Cena

Recommended Posts

Can't believe I am saying this as I have been a fan of Cena, but it is damn true and here is one reason why.

In the last few weeks, Cena won the WWE title and then lost it again.

Not only that, Bray Wyatt pinned Cena fair and square, TWICE in like 48 hours.

Once, to win the belt at the PPV and then another in a rematch a couple nights later.

Here is the rematch. Reason I am posting this is so you can hear what Cena says as Bray Wyatt is pinning him. You may have to turn up the volume, but you can clearly hear Cena say something like "You're a proper champion now."

Cena is one of the best in the business and to get a clean pin fall over him is HUGE and he knows it. In fact, I think Cena wanted to win the title JUST so he could put Bray Wyatt over like this.

Here is the video. About the 2:10 second mark is where it happens.

WTF is wrong with you. I said "YES" twice now, yet here you are, trying to insinuate I think this is all real.

When I specifically ask if you think it is real, as I did in post #7, and you reply yes as you did in post #8, what am I supposed to think?

That post sounds like he's being sarcastic. Like "If it's fake, how did they fake this?". Hence, my very specific question.

WOW

You are suppose to know what the word yes actually means, especially when you ask a yes or no question like that.

Hell, in the video I posted in the OP, I am literally pointing out how you can hear that John Cena is actually saying something(That means he is talking btw) to Bray Wyatt as he is being pinned vs just kicking out. Plus, I even suggest Cena did all this in an attempt to put Bray Wyatt over.

Yet here you are, still completely lost.

I know pro wrestling is staged.

Is that clear enough.

Holy fock.

You know this is all fake, right?

There are wrestlers with magic powers, voodoo curses, hellfire and brimstone powers and you have to make this comment? It's the equivalent of you asking him if he knows Star Wars is fake.

Wrestling is fake the same way cirque du solei shows are fake. They perform...it's a show...it's a story...it's drama.

Is a play of Romeo and Juliet fake? You mean they aren't really dying at the end. It's like if we say "Rick looks like he's gonna be mad next week on walking dead.". It's a tv show. It's not trying to be real. There's no need to ask "you know this is fake right?"

Listen...What he means is that Cenas role as a top good guy has always had a degree of plot armor around him. It means that he rarely gets planned to be pinned clean in matches. It's a big storyline shift and blow to certain guys mystique when they are allowed to be pinned clean. It's a tool they use to humanize certain guys to create more drama.

How the fock is it 2017 and I still have to explain this to people? Wrestling has not tried to appear like real fighting since like the 70s, if ever. GoColts is talking about it in the storyline sense, like we talk about any tv show. Jesus FOCKING Christ.

His passion for the business along with his knowledge and respect for wrestlings history is second to none. He's never been a favorite of mine wrestling wise. But I've always had the utmost respect for the guy. So no argument here.

He probably was being sarcastic; it's a natural reaction to stupid focking questions.

Technically, who are we to say what happened long ago in a galaxy far away? In all seriousness, 100% no joke, Star Wars being real is more likely than things billions of people already vehemently believe in real life here on earth. Since we know a great deal of what's possible/logical here on earth scientifically but who can say what's possible in a galaxy far far away?

The amount we don't know about the universe is staggering.
