He's old and and not always right. '

What he says is not gospel

You are correct. Not always.

But I'm guessing his track record would attract just a tad more investors than anyone on here. ;)

A lot of people made a fortune in Bre-X. Try arguing with them that is wasn't a good investment.

A lot of people lost a fortune in it too. Try telling them it was a good investment. Bre-x was full of fraudulent activity, insider trading, etc. I would hope the cryptos are in the same boat.

His time has passed, he killed it in the stock market, made billions. He doesn't need to risk money on 'risky' investments, especially those he doesn't comprehend.

Google and Amazon are great examples, the game changed, he didn't.

Other than the "Billions" part, you could be talking about me.

II'm going to intervene. As an investor in Cryptocurrency and a new person to the whole idea/situation. I will say this; I invested with $100 AND HAVE GOTTEN ADDICTED. i started just before Christmas, I bought $100 of Bitcoin at $16K and change. I have bought around $700 total of Bitcoin ranging fro $12,000 to $18,000.

I bought $200 of Ethereum at around $850,00 January 2nd THIS year, And $120 of Litecoin for $290.00 the same time I had bought BitCoin. The person that got me intrigued quit a $250,000 job after investing $50,000 about 9 months ago. He's a day trader. I am looking long term. The reality is I am way up now on Ethereum, about Even on Bitcoin and a little down on Litecoin. But you must be patient IMO when investing little. Wen I say I am way up on Ethereum, I have made $80.00 on my $200 in one week. I want to see whee it is in 6 months. I am not a day trader, I am lucky to have found $1000 to invest. If everything tanks and I lose $1000, I am OK.

Trying to figure out the next Crypto to explode is like Roulette. Ripple has been one I am eyeing but have NOT invested. I wish I had realized Ethereum's model and had not invested in LiteCoin at the time. Ethereum was probably $700 at that time. Today it went over $1400. I expect Amazon starts taking Bitcoin for orders; gen pop will realize where this is and it will provide "real world" value. I say it happens before the end of February. If so, Bitcoin COULD go to $30,000 or up. But, I have NO idea, sped what you can . . . just adds value to the entire crypto wave IMO. Do you homework; plan a strategy. Unless you are REALLY good at ROULETTE!

My CC portfolio is up today :dunno:

Because you didnt buy a bunch of meaningless altcoins thats why. Mine is up too.

Without a doubt there is an altcoin bubble and Ill stay away from it. Just like in the dot come boom the guys that invested in premium internet startups still won and the guys invested in junk lost.

Keep buying Ethereum Ill keep saying it its only a matter of time before its no. 1. Open source always win.

Selling my ETH in anticipation of a correction back to the ~$1,050 level. Doubling up on IOTA for what I am guessing will be a run into the mid 5's.

I swear I heard yesterday that Kodak is putting out their own cryptocurrency? If I am skeptical that any of these are a good idea long-term, i certainly don't get how ALL of these can be successful investements. I will try to find a link.

Kind of a cool idea:

Kodak's other initiative, the KodakCoin, is being created as part of an effort to build a global ledger of picture rights ownership that photographers can add their work to.

Kind of a cool idea:

Why would Kodak rent them to people that are just gonna use them to get rich? Why wouldn't Kodak plug them all in themselves and get rich x 1000 ?

Why didn't Don Lapre just place all the tiny ads himself, instead of creating competitors ?

I am glad I opted out. Becomes more clear everyday we are beginning the end of this bubble.

We are? I don't think it's the beginning of the end yet. Still lots of people who are trying to get in and get their money in. Still plenty of people who are already in who are putting more in.

Way to many altcoins. The first thing all of you should ask yourselves before buying is Does Bitcoin/Ethereum/Litecoin/etc.. already do that?

Heres an idea I had and Id hate to make cryptos political but I think cryptos can do much more than free us from our current financial system. What about a coin that created a decentralized voting process that ensured everyone everything was 100% legitimate?

Or another idea would be a blockchain targeted at high dollar art and the focus of the blockchain would be to verify that what you were purchasing was real. I know this is the Mona Lisa because the blockchain matches up. Someone should make these.

I remember when pitching identity protection insurance was like selling snake oil.

I'm confident blockchain will eventually be hacked and not as secure as believed today.

I bet one will be able to buy "blockchain insurance" in the near future.

Wayyyyy too many. The bubble is going to burst something fierce. It's about making money short term for me, then moving my money into long term investments
