Ode to Njoku

Recommended Posts

Alright, buddy, so far the joke hasn't been on you, but on me. As difficult as it has been to keep a consistent TE going this season, outside the top 4 or 5, I have rolled with you all year. It has been an unimpressive ride, to say the least.

Seemingly, every week the "guru's" are incessantly pimping you for a big game, and yet still I wait. Even with an adequate QB and numerous targets, you haven't even cleared 70 yards all season, with 3 lousy TD's, but I have remained faithful and steadfast. Somehow, I have survived despite your underproduction. However, today, it is time to shine. I am a humble man.....but I deserve better.

The Broncos gave up 210/1 to Kittle in one half. I am only asking for one half of that production in 4 quarters. Is that asking too much?

Don’t think he will reach 70 yards.

He will be blocking most of the day.

They will need to get help vs that pass rush.

yes asking for a 100 yards is unrealistic, 55 and a score However is doable

Hardly.....super competitive guy, but in the end it's only a game.

Heck, I started Njoku, Chubb, and Lindsay in this game.....and played earlier against Fairbaim, lol.

That's just the breaks. Made the playoffs in 5 of 6 super-competitive leagues. That's a good year, and takes a lot of grinding. The playoff's are always pot luck. Any serious FF player realizes that.

Oh, Njoku; oh, Njoku, my worthless Tight End.

I so foolishly stuck with you, through thick and through thin.

Your worthlessness each week, quite quickly grew old

Your inability to produce, was a sight to behold.

With hands like a lineman and feet full of lead,

For fantasy purposes, to me you were dead.

The waivers, however, were mercilessly stripped,

So, into the Championship, with you I did limp.

But, alas, what is this, on the scoreboard I see?

Is it true, in the Ship, you have come through for me?

Indeed, you've allowed me to have the last laugh.

So, thank you, Merry Christmas....and 3 words: Do Not Draft!

Thanks....

Hurt me most of the year. Helped me immensely in the Ship(s).

Thus, the ode dedicated to him today.
