Jordan Reed on PUP

The only better preseason overreaction to the Active/PUP list is the word "cart" in training camp.

"Carted off"

Yeah that's a bad one

Carted off usually means out four to six weeks or the season.

Another one I hate is Hamstring tear.

Carted off in training camp means the practice field is generally triple the distance to the locker room as an actual game and all precautions are taken.

I hate all hammys, they say out for the game or 2 weeks and then when he is suppose to play he tries it before the game and sits or plays a few downs and then sits. You just cant predict if you need to pick up a player for bye weeks and if you do you might have to drop a serviceable RB if you do.

When I find out a player has a hamstring issue. I promptly put him on my do not draft list.

According to J.P. Finlay of CSNMidAtlantic.com, coach Jay Gruden said Reed had traveled to Charlotte to see a specialist about his big toe injury.

Helped win me my championship 2 years ago, but yep....give me a late round TE like Bennett, Miller, etc...

What are we thinking about Brate now with Howard in the picture?

Brate should be serviceable this year, but all OJ after that.

FWIW -

From PewterReport.com: "Besides Winston and Evans who do you think could have a fantasy football impact this season?

Answer: Cameron Brate. I am far from a fantasy expert, but I know what I see on the field, and nearly every practice, 15 minutes after the rest of the team is done, Winston and Brate are working on red zone routes. And sometimes it is other joining in, but you can almost always count on No. 84 being a part of it. Evans will get his share of looks – and touchdowns as well – but despite the Bucs spending a first round pick on a tight end, it is the undrafted Harvard grad that Winston has a tremendous chemistry with and that should equate to Brate matching, or even exceeding, his touchdown reception number (8) from last season.
