Brandon Marshall to the Giants

Recommended Posts

ESPN

Our first significant signing. This is a decent landing spot for Marshall's fantasy value and gives the Giants another legitimate weapon on the outside. His age (33) is a concern but a rebound season is good bet.

Over/under Manning throwing for 4,400+ yards? (only 3 times in his career)

Over/under Manning throwing 30+ TD's? (only 3 times in his career)

This is great news for Beckham owners.

It does hurt the draft value of Shepherd.

And Marshall should help Eli and that's good news for Eli's value.

Fingers crossed that Good Eli puts in an appearance this season.

Not having to physically relocate has to be a plus for Marshall.

How long until Marshall and Beckham start throwing punches?

Seen elsewhere:

"Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham together will either be electrifying or absolute chaos."

As Eli owner in Dynasty. I am optimistic. They did need a move the chains red zone guy

I think it's a great pick up for you Murf.

Eli should really benefit from having Marshall to be able to move the chains like you said. M

Plus in the redzone he now will have a play maker with size to go get the jump passes.

Now get a couple olinemen and a te and Eli might have quit a few more years left. Quality pickup by the gmen.

Marshall typically takes a good 2-3 years before he wears out his welcome.

He will be fine for this year. I just wouldnt make any bets on future years.

Don't be too worried about Marshall and Beckham getting along. Marshall has already stated that he'll be a #2. The guy will be 33 in a couple of weeks and realizes these are (almost certainly) the last two years of his career so I think we can expect a little maturity.

Agree.

Think he's going to play , and wants to play in a playoff game.

It's a great pick up.

Between the money they spent last year on their defense and now the Marshall signing, it looks like the Giants are going for it all before Eli runs out of gas in another year or two. Taking that into account, they should try and trade up for the Jets pick at six and add the best available OL or give Eli another weapon with Fournette or OJ Howard.

If the Giants Defence can hold up they will be a contender.

Sweet! I think Marshall will be a good fit - AS LONG AS he keeps his head on straight. OBJ is "the guy" on the NYG team, as far as WRs go.

Depending on what the G-men do at TE - I think Marshall is good for 8+ TDs.

Actually I think Beckham will score more tds, he had only 10 last season, with Shepherd getting 8 tds.

I think the pressure that Marshall will now bring could open up more scoring opportunitys for Beckham.

If Marshall still has something in the tank it's a good signing. His fantasy value would be pretty good.

He could be a solid WR2 or even creep into the WR1 group.

That is if he still has something left in the tank. I don't know if he does.
