Kopy 491 Posted August 12, 2018 I'm thinking Miami, Tampa, and Cleveland. Unless it's a absolute disaster, I really can't see any other short leashes or over reactions. * I am omitting Cincinnati from this discussion. Who the hell knows what it's gonna take for Lewis to get fired at this point.

Kopy 491 Posted August 13, 2018 What do you think about The Hawks coach is he on the hot seat from what you might been hearing ?I don't believe so. Anyone who has any knowledge of the team, nothing has even come up. The only time I ever hear something is from someone who has nothing to do with seattle.I get alot of my info from John Clayton. Ever since getting canned from espn he's put his thumbprint back to seattle sports. He says Carroll's situation is like its always been. It's his job until he doesn't want it anymore. Of course an absolute disaster could obviously change things.
Kopy 491 Posted August 13, 2018 Seattle has a great owner though. Paul Allen doesn't meddle in football affairs. He lets the football guys handle their business. A far cry from the Behring days. I think to this day, if that SOB steps into seattle (or the whole state of Washington for that matter). His life is at risk.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted August 13, 2018 Garrett jumps out at me. If he has a losing record. Maybe O'Brien if he is under .500. Seems like a pretty safe year for coaches.

DaBeerz 88 Posted August 14, 2018 Mike McCarthey. Not saying he is on the hot seat. But it is getting warm. Not a chance. Rodgers likes him and you don't piss off your elite QB. Maybe if Rodgers gets hurt again and the Packers are terrible, but if that happens everyone knows their season is over anwyay.

There is always at least a couple McAdoo mid-season type firings though. Some coaches are just so inept the team will take a step backwards if they stayed all season. It should be looked into if they go say 10-6 and go one and done in the playoffs. Rodgers has had to overcome the predictable and outdated stuff MM runs on offense. You may be right. GB is too easy going. Not enough pressure for change. But jist imagine Rodgers with a young innovative coach? MM isn't horrible at being a head coach. But his offense sucks. Perhaps bringing Philbin back will create some different looks. But he isnt the young mind I would be talking about.

DaBeerz 88 Posted August 15, 2018 His obvious frustrations with play calling during the game. He has also hinted at it in some post game news conferences. Interesting, I wasn't aware Rodgers had any issue with him. Well yeah, maybe a change could be in the works if they underperform. I always thought MM was a mediocre coach being carried by a great player.

Not sure I've ever made someone more angry in my entire life.

scottsind 61 Posted August 16, 2018 As a Dolphins fan I dont think Gase is on the hot seat. He made the playoffs with Tannehill 2 years ago. If he bombs this year; maybe so, but I think Gase gets a shot with his own QB if Tannehill shows he cant stay healthy this year or produce. Gase will draft a QB first round next year if so.
