I've never had an issue just pulling into a parking space then backing out and leaving. Not once.

 

I have however had to sit idle in a parking lot waiting for some jackass to maneuver their vehicle so they can back into a space.

I normally pull in forward. If it's a tight fit or the parking lot is crowded I back in because it's easier to get in and out that way.

Where is the drive through option? So, there is actually some safety reasons for this and some companies have guidelines for their employees. By safety option:

1. Drive through so you can pull forward out of the spot

2. Back in so you can pull forward out of the spot

3. Pull straight in

My daughter was just hit backing out of a space after work at tim hortons...someone whipping thru parking lot. She wasnt cited no big deal. Had she not been backing out...maybe different story

The only reason to back in to a spot is if you're a farmer dropping off your vegetables at the Farmers Market. Otherwise, you're wasting everybody's time and everyone thinks you're a huge jack-ass.

Its just logistically inferior. I have plenty of reach and am not fat. I just cant get the angles for swiping, the bowl is in the way, harder to drop the paper back in the bowl, oops clipped the bowl now theres poop everywhere, oops clipped my back now I have to shower. Its just not the right way.

 

I need room to wipe and analyze. Then room to use baby wipes since you simply are not clean unless you use wet wipes of some kind, period (if you got poop on any other part of your body, would you clean it with a dry wipe or a wet one? Exactly..).

The downtown area here is all parallel parking. It's surprisingly enjoyable to sit at one of the local watering holes and place bets on how many tries it will take people to get it right.
