NFL will not suspend Kenny Britt
Willie Mays Hayes replied to Busted by the Feds's topic in FFToday Board
Glad to have got him in the 6th round last weekend. This news will move him up 2 full rounds - likely will have to spend a 4th rounder on him now. -
Uh, yeah he's worth a flier late in the draft. If Plax can look that good at 33 just off a couple years of jailtime, Randy Moss can do just as well at 34 with no jail time. Remember, his issues last year were attitude after he got dumped by the Patriots. I don't think his talent level has dropped off nearly as far as some have made it out.

I am contemplating a side bet with the Jahvid Best owner
Willie Mays Hayes replied to Neek's topic in FFToday Board
Best is best. Outside of reasons already stated, Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch will factor into C.J. Spiller's touches this year. There is no one as talented pushing Jahvid Best for carries in Detroit. -
Burleson is averaging 11 targets per game. While I don't think he maintains that throughout the season, I think 8-9 targets per game is reasonable. That would be 8.5 * 60% reception rate * 13 games = 66 catches. That would be 86 catches on the season so I think your projection of 85 is solid. 85 catches 960 yards 6 TD's

Likely Peterson, but he sucks.

I stand corrected. I should have looked up their measurables. I can't explain it but I would swear that Wayne looked taller than he really is and Jennings looked smaller. I had them at 6'2" and 5'10" in my mind.

Why does the QB stay in during the wild cat?
Willie Mays Hayes replied to itsbigmoni's topic in FFToday Board
Good response. I was going to point out #2. -
FWIW, I agree with your logic. I took Reggie Wayne over Jennings (2nd round) in a recent draft and everyone acted like I made the wrong decision. Maybe it's me but I have a hard time believing in "little receivers" as 1st or 2nd round picks. Steve Smith may be the one exception to the rule. They just tend to get nicked up a lot during the season and it only takes a couple missed games each season to make players like this feel more worth a 4-5th round pick, as opposed to a Top 10 WR selection.

Egads...what information sources were you looking at?

DeAngelo Williams.

Quinn Sypniewski Heap is out this week and Boller loves to dump off to the TE's. BUF is poor defending against the TE.

Is Jerious Norwood the Value Pick of 2007?
Willie Mays Hayes replied to tt1010's topic in FFToday Board
I live in Atlanta and hear a lot of the local buzz, a couple things that will make me shy from Norwood come draft day: 1) Not a proven pass blocker. This is really key considering the Falcons are one hit away from Chris Redmond (sp?) being the starting QB. With Shockley down and no discernible option behind Redmond, this is a scenario many cannot stomach. Any RB that can't block won't see the field if there is concern over his blocking. Harrington is going to be protected as if he was Joe Montana back there. 2) Goalline carries, that's already been covered. 3) Petrino. I followed his playcalling in college and he doesn't seem to have this extreme view of needing a feature back. I think it boils down to what "production is production" in the backfield. If Jason Snelling can be productive for a handful of carries, there is no reason to think he won't get action...along with Norwood....along with Dunn. 4) Dogfighting Douche = Bad Pub for Falcons = Makings of a 4-12 season here in ATL. Not many hold out high hopes here that this is going to be a great season in A-town. To be honest, Vick being here a full season would be far from a guarantee of being a .500 club. Now, with all this team has been through, things could be REAL bad. Just my thoughts. -
Vick's getting quite a beating today on the radio. They played an excerpt from Deion Sanders on the radio of him bashing Vick for his gesture. They kicked off the segment with some of the other radio jockies saying you were about to hear Deion defend one of his homeboys. When it was the contrary, the gloves came off even more. There is a lot of love for Schaub since he keeps court with the local media and participates on weekly talk shows. However, most agree that Vick will stay the starter. This decision will continue to split the fanbase this year since Schaub will likely be wearing another jersey next year and lots are ready to run Vick out of town.

"Buying Low" on Randy Moss
Willie Mays Hayes replied to Leonard Henry -2 Yds's topic in FFToday Board
I think you gotta wait two more weeks before you take a trade like this. A couple things I believe you'll see: * R. Moss will begin to produce more than what he has...increasing his value. * S. Moss' value will hold steady. * A. Bryant's value will start to decline...sure he's produced well but the guy is a walking explosion -- he's talented but there is a reason why teams cast him off so graciously. * Troupe and Watson's value are going in opposite directions. The Pats will devise schemes in the coming weeks to get him the ball. Troupe is buried on that offense though. I still think your current players will give you the best chance in the long haul. The great thing about Randy Moss is his name value...he always has value because people remember what he's done in past seasons versus what he may be doing in this one. Not many have the ability to score TD's in bunches from week-to-week outside of Randy Moss. -
I'd be interested if it was hosted somewhere else besides Sportsline. We used CBS last year to host our basketball league and reading the box score updates was like watching a word orgy.
