Looks like Pocahontas is Native American after all

Recommended Posts

What most people don't get here and elsewhere Is she's getting this out of the way. She knows it's not a good look.

But her camp also let slide she's running.

Basic politics. You get all the trash out as early as possible. Then when someone tries to make a story of it a year and a half from now? You roll your eyes and say that's already been covered keep up will you.?

Newt tried the same thing with his infidelity. But that was just too much for anybody to swallow.

Pretty dumb story all the way around.

“Wrong”

Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren acknowledged for the first time late Wednesday night that she told Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania that she was Native American, but she continued to insist that race played no role in her recruitment.

“At some point after I was hired by them, I . . . provided that information to the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard,’’ she said in a statement issued by her campaign. “My Native American heritage is part of who I am, I’m proud of it and I have been open about it.’’

Warren is so messed up, she is a typical democrat. These people belong together. I just wish it were in Venezuela.

Was this reported here already?

Boston Globe Issues 2ND CORRECTION on the story: https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/oct/15/boston-globe-issues-second-correction-elizabeth-wa/

"“Due to a math error, a story about Elizabeth Warren misstated the ancestry percentage of a potential 6th to 10th generation relative. The generational range based on the ancestor that the report identified suggests she’s between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American,” said the clarification."

So now she's not even in the ballpark of even being on the extreme end of being an Indian, I believe. Wasn't that 1/32nd?

I was thinking yesterday that 6th generation would be 1/64, not 1/32. Either way it isn't a whole lot of NA.

Getting out ahead of it is good strategy. But Trump doesn't let things lie. With him, she is Pocahontes no matter what she does. She is also Hillary 2.0. No way is she inspiring voters.

Do you think she was justified in "providing" that info the Harvard and Penn? Were they justified in claiming her as a "woman of color"? Do you think she may have embellished her heritage?

Because she just admitted that she's more than 99.9% white. Richard Spencer would be impressed. He should endorse her.

I mean I don't care that she lied to Penn and Harvard. Fock them, they are racist schools that deserve getting lied to. And she knew they're racist, it's not a secret, which is why she did it. So I think it's funny. People who support affirmative action need to drown in a puddle of AIDS figure out what her lying means to themselves.

I like this about her. I like that she stared in the eyes of Affirmative Action and said "Fock Off, racist sh*tbags". If she wanted to win big applause from me, she'd take the flag and point out to other liberals how focked up affirmative action is; do that and I'd like her a hell of a lot MORE.

Ethnicity not a factor in Elizabeth Warren’s rise in law

Do you think she was justified in "providing" that info the Harvard and Penn? Were they justified in claiming her as a "woman of color"? Do you think she may have embellished her heritage?

What are you talking about 'justified'? And who cares whether the schools were justified, that's what they did.

Embellished her heritage?---by checking the box, when she's at best 1/64, if that's what is an embellishment, but the story she's always repeated was she had ONE DISTANT relative...and it looks like that checks out as true. So my take away is big deal, she was proud of her small sliver of of Native American heritage and let people know about it. But let's attack her for that and completely overlook the falsehoods that she used it to get ahead, and the attacks about it from the President.

Warren, in a lengthy interview that started in the sparsely decorated Penn Quarter condo where she stays in Washington and ended in her hideaway office in the US Capitol, opened up for the first time about her claims to Native American heritage. She explained that it was passed on to her as a fact of family lore and that a generation of women in her family were aging, and dying, in the late 1980s. As they faced mortality, Warren said, they focused more on the family’s American Indian ancestry, and the impression stuck with her.

Her grandmother, who shared many stories about ties to the Cherokee and Delaware tribes, died in 1969. Her daughters — Warren’s aunts — then took on the central place in the family. “As the sisters became the matriarchs, they began to talk more about their background and about their mother’s background,” Warren explained.

Because she just admitted that she's more than 99.9% white. Richard Spencer would be impressed. He should endorse her.

In the most exhaustive review undertaken of Elizabeth Warren’s professional history, the Globe found clear evidence, in documents and interviews, that her claim to Native American ethnicity was never considered by the Harvard Law faculty, which voted resoundingly to hire her, or by those who hired her to four prior positions at other law schools. At every step of her remarkable rise in the legal profession, the people responsible for hiring her saw her as a white woman.

That previously undisclosed report reveals that the hiring committee at Penn, where Warren worked from 1987 to 1995, viewed her as a white female applicant. Moreover, the committee went to some pains to explain on this form why she was selected over several minorities to fill a faculty position.

Not until she had been teaching at Penn for two years did she authorize the university to change her personnel designation from white to Native American, the records show.

The Globe also reviewed, for the first time, a Harvard University human resources form showing that Warren first listed her ethnicity as Native American nearly five months after she started her tenured position at Harvard and 2½ years after she was there as a visiting professor and first offered the job.

Unlike others here, I'm going to assume you will take a little time to get your facts straight.

I'll bet their attitude was more like, "you're no focking indian, but if you want to claim it, we are more than happy to parade you around as such and check a couple of diversity boxes". The fraud would be if anyone ever benefited from a federal angle, such as landing a contract.

There isn't a lick of difference between what she did and what Rachel Dolezol did. Now, I don't blame either one iota for doing what they did, I understand why it's necessary in their respective lines of work to lie about race, I applaud it, my criticisms of either wraps entirely in their ideologies. But Rachel Dolezol became a laughing stock by people other than me for doing the exact same thing, I was eating popcorn but the cultural Marxist leftists were horrified. I wonder if Elizabeth Warren gets a pass from the same crowd.

No one gives a fock about Indians. There is 0 political gain from any direction on this one. Just the opposite in the Dolezal case.

Why would someone who doesn't explicitly know their lineage go back and change their official ethnicity?

1. Casino money

2. Have the ability to be marked down as a minority

Only two things I can think of.

Again, all she claimed was a 'distant' relative was a Native American, and lo and behold one is...and the results square with the one Warren has named. You guys and your spin...

We all care about them on a personal level. They are a non-starter from a political perspective. Like when the libs harp on the name "Redskins", it just goes nowhere. On the political pecking order they rank below the Snail Darter.

Warren has defended herself, saying she did not benefit professionally from claiming indigenous lineage. But she appeared to concede a main line of criticism from Native American leaders — that sovereign tribal groups determine citizenship and cultural lineage, not DNA tests such as the one she took.

“I won’t sit quietly for @realDonaldTrump’s racism, so I took a test,” Warren wrote on Twitter. “But DNA & family history has nothing to do with tribal affiliation or citizenship, which is determined only — only — by Tribal Nations. I respect the distinction, & don’t list myself as Native in the Senate.”

OK, so the gauntlet has been laid down. Trump called her out on her bullsh!t, so she performs the test and starts tossing around SJW labels, all the boxes are being checked.... What I think she and CNN, and other elements of the propaganda arms did not anticipate was the negative reaction from native americans, that throws a big monkey wrench into their model.....Trump gets more legs from this than they do, in this instance the SJW model did not hold up.....and I think this is marvelous....

UMass-Lowell changed from the Chiefs to River Hawks as well. My guess is that there are quite a few colleges who have changed.

When Eastern Michigan changed their name from the Hurons to the Eagles, over the objection of the Huron tribe, Central Michigan saw the writing on the wall and proactively teamed up with the Chippewa tribe to prevent the same thing from happening there. CMU is still the Chippewas.

The Huron tribe liked being represented by the University it was the raging fat white liberals who took offense on their behalf.

This simply looks extremely bad for Warren and the democrats in general. Standard operating procedure in this situation is for the democrats to unleash a avalanche of sucker punches at Trump and any republican they can find to change the subject as fast as possible. The next 2 weeks should be some really really ugly politics. They may have to do something spectacular like shame some high ranking republican from office to get the Warren story buried.

But just mark me down right now as saying the democrats are about to go berserk with getting offended about SOMETHING.

3) Because she is a democrat and democrats have to play the most victim cards win game. She's up against Corey Booker, Camila Harris, she can't play as many victim cards, so she needed something else to stand on

watch the first 15 mins of Shapiro today, he explains it better than I can. Also I love her story that her grandparents were racist so her parents had to elope

Well this will be something major, like 100x as loud as normal. It will immediately be framed as the story of the year in order to get Warren off the headlines.
