UPDATE: Maclin expected to sign monday - Signs with Ravens

Recommended Posts

It is looking like he is considering Buffalo and Baltimore.

They think Baltimore has the advantage as former Eagles OC Mornhinweg is there.

instantly becomes #1 WR on the team. 4-5th round value

#1 in Balt = #2 normal team

This is a very sold move for the Ravens.

And I totally agree on this team he instantly has to be looked upon has their wr1.

After Steve smith retiring and Pitta deciding to retire as well they needed help at the receiver position.

Yeah, and Maclin can burn teams deep.

Flacco throws a good deep ball, so I think this is good for their offense as a whole (provided the line can give Flacco adequate protection)

Makes Wallace another sleeper this year. What does this do to Perriman's value. I know the Ravens are a run-first team though.

Wallace quietly went over 200 in ppr last year. Ravens are replacing Pitta and Smif targets w Maclin, and I expect both will have good years.

He was very quite his last 8 games.

He never topped more than 62 yards and scored a total of zero tds.

I think that the signing of Maclin will indeed impact Wallace more than Perriman.

I agree with you Cousinal111 if the reports of Perriman are true I think he could be the wr2 on the Ravens.

You sound like weepaws.

Ravens were #1 in passing attempts per game. Same in 2015. Rush attempts/game 29th and 25th respectively.

345 targets are up for grabs sans Steve Smith, Aiken, Pitta, etc. (2016 numbers)

#TruthNotLies

From Kansas City to Baltimore is a borderline miracle for deep keeper/dynasty owners. (there aren't really miracles)

Unless they also sign Decker which sounds like a waste of resources.

Yea that's a very interesting stat.

Flacco did indeed lead the league in passing att.

But he wasn't very productive.

He was only 18th in ff points with only 20 passing tds.

Maclin should help make all those att count for more than just att. They lack production.

They still need to find a te I don't see one on their current roster that's going to truly take the place of Pitta and that's where Maclin can truly shine.

Woodhead is the wild card for me on the Ravens, I'm interested in seeing how they use him and how he rebounds at his age.

The Ravens were 28th in rushing defense last year. People were running all over them and controlling clock. That might explain the upsurge in passing trying to play catch up in games. I know that the Baltimore coach would like to run first rather than pass. That has always been his philosophy. Now he has some great passing weapons. However, I don't think Maclin has much left in the tank due to all of the injuries partly. Maybe another good year left?

Yea delchay that's a great point about the rush Defence last season.

I think they would like to run the ball more often, but I don't see a Rb on their roster who I think they can count on to do so on a regular bases.

So I can see them passing the ball a lot once again like Quickolas posted.

I think Maclin has some gas left and I'm looking at him in a ppr league to be the biggest target in the passing game.

Woodhead and how he is used is going to be interesting and he himself might hurt Maclin target count.
