The 60s were best represented by Woodstock. I've held off on picking a Beatles song, but I'll pick a cover of a Beatles song, IMO on the Mount Rushmore of covers, IMO so much better than the original, and one of the best performances there. As a little fun I'll link a fun version of the performance with pretend (?) lyrics. :D

Good song, and like it ok, but I cant put it ahead of the original.

He sorta over sings it in spots.

To each his own. To me the Beatles version is schmaltzy and completely uninteresting. The Cocker version captures the Woodstock vibe. Yeah, he oversings it in spots, because he is totally baked. :dunno:

Yeah. I think we're about done for the night. We got it back to the eastern bracket for two nights in a row. That's good.

Duh muthafuckas!

4.15 - Voodoo Chile Slight Return) - Jimi Hendrix

More than any other song, be absolutely wails on this one.

Jimi Hendrix occasionally used different names and spellings for some of his songs. In his handwritten lyrics, he used "Voodoo Chile" for the longer song, while he used both "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" for the following one recorded with the Experience.

This was the last song Hendrix performed live. On September 6, 1970, which was 12 days before his death, he played it at a concert in Germany.

A famous guest musician played organ on this. He was a member of another big band and often played on the same bill with Hendrix. When Jimi was recording this in New York, he had _______ come by and play.

This was voted the best guitar riff in rock'n'roll history, by readers of Music Radar. The website said "From its wah-wah into the the rhythm parts and the astonishing solo, this is still regarded by many as the high watermark of electric guitar expression." Guns n'Roses' "Sweet Child o' Mine" came second in the poll and Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" third.

 Speaking of famous musicians I have a little treat in round 16,(assuming it's there) maybe before by someone who was good friends with Jimi.
