Bills04 45 Posted October 7, 2018 I have JAX's KCR. It looks like rain in KC for the entire game. Basic physics says a wet football is heavier / won't travel as far.. Any other concerns with KCRs kicking in rain?! DEN KCR McManus is on the WW - might pick him up. Thoughts?! I need a win; am 1-3..
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 7, 2018 If you have good options available, I’d go there. Heavy rain is forecasted for part of the game in KC. All day rain for sure. Yes I think this has an effect.....not sure how much....
nospk 230 Posted October 7, 2018 You are asking if there are other concerns for a kicker on a wet field besides the ball getting wet and being heavier? So that extra maybe 1 ounce of water will keep it from travelling as far?... its not like they use 1 ball all game and it ends up weighing 15 pounds by the 4th quarter

Will that heavy rain affect the ball?
Ray_T 589 Posted October 7, 2018 I think a kickers range will be affected but it's like a 5 yard difference. Maybe more than 10 if there is also a lot of wind. realistically, the only thing I'd say is you wont get any FG's from outside of about 45 yards for most kickers. Wind is really the thing to worry about most. that will also affect accuracy.
nospk 230 Posted October 7, 2018 So not the bad footing, possibility of a botched snap/hold, less scoring opportunities, higher winds... but its the strength and weight of the heavy rain deflecting/ slowing the flight of the kick? Is that the question?
nospk 230 Posted October 7, 2018 I thought this was gonna be about Kansas City Receivers
cousinal111 57 Posted October 7, 2018 Latest says nothing heavy in the forecast. Start all skill players in this one. May see 60 points scored.
