At 3rd cousin, it's not illegal in most places, and you aren't having kids, so there's no risk... so who cares... Do we or do we not live in a free country?

Largest Paper in Virginia Endorses Gary Johnson
VikesFan replied to hoytdwow's topic in The Geek Club
Tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. You always end up with two evils. It's time for the two parties to take notice. I hope Johnson gets in the debates and takes a sizable chunk of votes. That's a warning shot to both parties if a 3rd party suddenly becomes viable in the voters eyes. Johnson has my vote in November. -
Name 3 players you feel will be found on majority of winning FF teams this year

I'm always leery of rookie RBs. They aren't used to the pounding or the longer season. Many wear down too quickly. I'll draft one, but certainly not in the first couple rounds. -
never mind the fact that those figures are rigged... The cost per unit of my grocery, medical, and fuel bills over the last four years has doubled... but those don't count for some reason while a 10 year old computer does.... who knew...

I have a flight scheduled in about a month... me thinks I'm going to pretend I'm gay...

First off, if it's a drunk that fell on my kid, that's one thing. But the fact that people are actually justifying a drunk fan tackling a kid is a different story. I grew up in Cleveland, and spent all of the last decade either living in the Chicago area or within a few hours of it. I'm a twins fan and I've taken both of my children to a whitesox-twins game and the only thing that's ever happen is a sox fan telling me "I don't care if she's a twins fan, she's still a cutie." (referring to my daughter).. It's sad that I'm actually lauding Chicago fans here, as they have a bit of a reputation.... What's worse is that this discussion is even being had. It's sad that as a society we seem to think that having a few drinks is justification for doing stuff that should be unfathomable.... really sad. I have a right in this country to take my children to a Vikings or Twins game in Chicago, and seeing that I live nearby, that's likely where it would be.... and if by chance someone had the stupidity to tackle or assault one of my children... either they would be forever dealing with brain damage, or I'd be dead.

don't really care for Bush or Obama, but you can really pin this on both. In case anyone forgot, it was Bush/Cheney that deregulated the oil industry back in 2003 (after a bunch of secret meetings with them that they never released minutes to) and specifically allowed for that blowoff prevention valve to be not required... of course, all was done without choosing to eliminate the cap on liabilities either... that's the ridiculous part. Get rid of all requirements, but use the tax payers to take the fall if you blow it. Obama... he's just an idiot. Took forever torespond. We should have just nuked the well like the Russians did to their spills. It would be over by now.

2010 NFL Draft Weekend Team Thread: Minnesota Vikings
VikesFan replied to Fumbleweed's topic in FFToday Board
I was hoping for help in the secondary, and offensive lineman, and the QB of the future. The RB pick isn't bad, and I understand the value of the defensive end, but they needed a tackle more than an end. I'd have rather dangled that 3rd round pick and Haynesworth than taking a RB... that's just me... -

I'm guessing based on this draft that the Vikings will be gunning hard for McNabb this offseason... -
Perhaps I should call the FBI anonomously and say that Kilroy69 is having sex with minors in his home so that they can storm in and separate you from your family for months while they try to build a case. That's the problem... there was not enough reasonable cause to do what they did in Texas. And as it turns out, they had no case.

The government had plenty of opportunity to get Koresh, and they did not. The force is a huge part of the problem. It was unnecessary, and quite frankly, there is evidence that the goverment may have fired first. Furthermore, the government should need more than suspicion to act on potential abuse. I'm sorry, but there should be a reasonable cause. Without it, nothing stops them from entering your place b/c they suspect that you are abusing your children. They need evidence. They overreacted, much in the same way they overreacted on that mormon sect a few years ago. The constitution is clear that government action must be predicated on reasonable cause. Reasonable cause is a lot more than a hunch. Reasonable cause is a lot more than suspicion that the weapons they own could be turned into automatic weapons. Oh, and speaking of weapons, I believe the constitution also says something about the rights of the people to keep and bear arms, as well as forming militia will not be infringed upon... The bottom line is this. The government voilated the constitution of the US and 70 plus people are dead because of it. The British government got away with far less in the 1770s.

I hope you realize this is the goal. Keep you polarized over different things... illegals, abortion, war, liberal v conservative... keep you fighting about this while both parties allow the elites to loot this country. We need to walk up soon and cast off the parasite before we die...

I'm definitely not enough of a rabid fan to know who or what is available, but the Vikings don't need nearly the help at RB that they do on the line, at DT, and in the secondary... got to wonder a bit about that.. Oh, and supposeldy haynesworth is going for a fourth round pick... you'd think we could trade a 3rd rounder for him and get him... would be nice. He'd have to know that he's going to be sharing time with Williams for this season, but after that... -
Infant found dead after being left in car overnight...
VikesFan replied to posty's topic in The Geek Club
I happen to know a family that did this... in their case, it was the youngest of a bunch of kids (something like 7 or 8 at the time). In that scenario, the poor kid got lost in the chaos... that said, if the story checks out, I'm really not sure what else should be done. I hardly see throwing someone in jail as an acceptable punishment for a legitimate accident. The parents will have to live with that for the rest of their lives, which might I add will be a living hell for them. No jail will fix that. Assuming of course that this is just stupidity, these are the times that the state needs to step out.
